    Just saw this new Portland Mural across the street from the Belmont Library. The librarian told us that it was painted yesterday, but they were not sure who did it. The O is clearly an homage to Portland’s doughnut scene, but what is the T supposed to be/represent?

    Pop superstar Katy Perry announced via a live appearance on Facebook that her California Dreams 2011 world tour is coming to North America this summer and will make a stop at the Rose Garden on Friday, July 22.

    Katy is planning on interacting with fans through social media networks throughout the California Dreams tour. Using Facebook Places/Deals, fans will be able to check in to the venues each night to receive special treats. Fans' will also be able to submit their own photos of the show via Twitter which will be incorporated into the live show and available on katyperry.com.

    PDX Pop Now! Festival is coming up this weekend (July 22nd-24th)!  The fest will be held at Refuge PDX, which is at 116 SE Yamhill (easily accessed from the Hawthorne bridge, Eastbank Esplanade, or just down Yamhill from MLK and Grand – just up the block from the Lipman’s Party Store).  Ample bike parking will be available. There will be two stages, one inside and one outside the venue.

    The following food carts will be onsite at the festival: Koi Fusion, Violetta, Dog House, Sizzle Pie, Townsend Tea, and Fifty Licks.  The PDX Pop Now! photo booth will be generously provided by Glamour & Headshots.

    Radio23 and PRA will be providing a live web radio stream of the entire festival. You can stream the Radio23 feed through your iPhone using the Radio23 app available for free through the iTunes Store.  A live video feed of the festival will be available on stagedive.com.
