    3. This will help me plan our escape from the zombie apocolypse.
    4. The last(and only) time I went to OBF I was 9 months pregnant and unable to partake. I am currently not filled with child and would like to experience the glory.

  118.   Jevon Simerly Says:

  124.   Molly Says:

    Dear PDX Pipeline,

As you probably already know, any self-respecting, Oregon-raised beer drinker attends the OBF…so, I will be attending this year whether I win this package or not. But, I would offer this simple request as someone who plans my summer around this event…pretty pretty pretty please?! Can I please win one of the packages?! Please…I’m begging you!! It would absolutely MAKE my summer, it would even make up for the lack of summer weather. Thank you very much for taking my request into consideration. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience (July 28th?).

    Sincerely,
    Molly

  125.   Jessie Says:

Would love to attend this amazing beer event! I hear this is one of the best weekend’s in PDX! Sip, Sip, Sip…SLAM!

  126.   Ali B Says:

As a native of the Northwest and a long-time resident of Portland who had to go all the way to the Bronx for a PhD program last year, I’ve spent the last 10 months being depressed at the beer options on the East Coast (man does not live by Bud, Bud Light, Coors, Coors Light, MGD, and Stella alone), and my startling inability to afford even the most terrible of beers. Basically, I need the elixir of life that is the Oregon Microbrew, and this festival would allow me that elixir.

  127.   Richard Says:

OBF is the best event in Portland! Hands down! When it ended last year on Sunday I got depressed because I realized I had to wait 361 days for the next OBF to come back around (this will be my 11th year). The week before (this week) I start to salivate for beer. The best part of all is the fact I get to sample the best beers in the good old U.S. of A. Laugh with friends, enjoy the sun, eat great food, listen local music and learn new and exciting things about beer and the brewers that make this nectar for gods. I would be honored to attend OBF no matter if I win or not!

  128.   Mary Says:

I’ll be in the Portland area from the eastside of the state for Sock Summit 2011, and I think enjoying some beer while playing with sock yarn is an excellent way to spend the weekend! Thank you for the chance to have a really fabulous weekend!

  129.   howman Says:

Because we live in Texas and its insanely hot and its an insane state so we need to get to beautiful Portland next weekend for the OBF!!!!!!!

  130.   Ben Gaskill Says:

My wife and I and two friends come down from the Seattle area every year for the Portland brewfest. We enjoy the beer, the location, and the people watching!!

  131.   Michael Friedman Says:

I would love to attend the Brewers Fest next weekend. I am currently stuck on the top of a hill due to a practical joke played by my brother, who is an otter. He thought it would be funny to lead me blindfolded on a trek and promised me that I would find a pot of oatmeal at the end of the journey. As oatmeal is my favorite breakfast (and it was early in the day), I graciously accepted that he take me – sight unseen – to an unknown location. On the way there, my blindfold slipped and I saw that we were walking along the ocean’s edge and a humpback whale leapt from the water and winked in my general direction, which I took as a good sign. However, after three days of walking with little rest and hardly any food or drink, when we finally arrived at the highest point in the land, I was surprised that I had been led there not by my brother, but an ill-tempered ferret that had mistaken me for someone else. Somehow we had all gotten confused and switched around. The ferret put up a small fence around me at the top of the hill, laughed at his mistake, and then scurried away. As he gained distance, all I could hear him mutter was, “the only thing that can save you now is attending the Oregon Brewers Festival with an OBF Beer Package from PDX Pipeline.” So, you see, I really need to win this. The top of the hill is cold and windy and I never even got any oatmeal.

  132.   kristin Says:

i would love to win! this is one of my favorite portland summer festivals!

  133.   Jason Says:

Because nothing is better after a Bacon Maple Bar than a couple of Imperial IPAs.

  134.   Dan Says:

PDX brewers make the best craft beer. Period.

  135.   Tyson C. Says:

Would love to win this package for my fiancee and myself to attend this great beer festival. We both have Saturday off and will be heading down to the area.

  136.   danielle Says:

I moved to Houston two years ago, and this is the first time I’ll be in Portland for the Brewfest since moving. Houston is nice, but has nothing on Oregon and the plethora of brew choices! I need to get my fix before I head back!

  137.   Maggie Says:

This is my favorite festival ever. I am going to have to spend way too much of my incredibly small paycheck on this festival.

  138.   Andrew H. Says:

I didn’t think I was going to be able to make it this year but winning this package would make that possible.

  139.   Andrea Says:

I won’t beg for free beer! I have killed for it, though.

  140.   Julian Says:

I live in Seattle and I go to OBF every year! It’s my favorite beer festival in the NW and I look forward to it every year. Awesome waterfront location, great people, awesome town and fantastic beer! I love Portland! I didn’t get to go last year because I was denied entry due to an expired driver’s license (though I had a VALID green card on me which they did not accept. After speaking to the OLCC, it’s clear that a green card SHOULD be a valid form of ID as it’s one of the most official documents one can carry as a lawful permanent resident, but it for some reason is ignored and they are forced to obey the law whether it’s comprehensive or not). Needless to say, we pretty much drove down for nothing and felt very disappointed. My girlfriend had not been before and I was looking forward to enjoying the festival with her. It was a beautiful sunny day too. We ended up drinking at various pubs/bars/breweries around town, where they didn’t ask for ID, or if they did, didn’t notice it was expired, or if they noticed it was expired I simply said “does it make me any younger?” to which they replied with a giggle and brought me my beer…even more reason why I love Portland!

  141.   Michelle Says:

I’m coming to Portland from Chicago specifically to attend the beer festival. Although Chicago is improving its microbrew beer availability, it still can’t compete with the pacific northwest. I’m looking forward to trying new beers! My husband has also never been to the festival so I’m excited to show him what it is all about!

  142.   kathy Says:

I sure hope the random winner picker they use randomly picks my comment as a winner!! beer!

  143.   Peter Greene Says:

Year after year this has become one of my favorite summer Portland events. The variety of beers is absolutely mind boggling. Craft brews from Portland and beyond show what an amazing chameleon beer can be. Thats a good chameleon too. Lagers, dunkels, stouts, ambers; they can all be found at this not-to-be-missed festival.

I think I’ll have to bring my camera this year so you have even more pics for next year!

  144.   Arezou Says:

I finish my Bar exam (HELL) on Thursday and I have been studying 12 hours a day for 6 weeks! WHY WOULDNT I LIKE TO ATTEND?

I love beer and my girlfriends and I are arriving in PDX first thing Friday morning to commence a weekend of drinking, eating, and music watching!

    PS Support your local breweries!

    PPS I really need this!

    XOXO

  145.   Heather Says:

ooooh, please, please, please, pick me!

  146.   Roxy Says:

I love the OBF!! I wasn’t a beer drinker until I actually TRIED beer and these festivals give me a chance to expand my horizons and try out different types! Now I Love Beer! =)

  147.   Suzanne Says:

I’m a fan of all the beer festivals in Portland, but this is my favorite! I love the beer that is brewed especially and only for obf!

  148.   Ali Says:

Last year was my first time there and my first brew fest ever, and I came all the way from California to go!!!! I had so much fun that we were only going to go saturday and ended up back on sunday! I would love to go again this year! My budget is a little tight right now though because I just moved from California to Washington. Either way I am aiming to be there!!!! :-D*fingers crossed*

  149.   Rocio Says:

I moved to Portland just over a year ago. My first big even I went to was OBF, and I LOVED IT!!!! It is what I have been looking forward to since last year’s ended. So PLEASE, pick me!!! :D

  150.   Jessica C Says:

My friends and I are calling this next week – starting Monday the 25th – The Bender! We are heading to Bend to camp and complete their Bend Ale Trail. Then on Thursday we are heading to the brewers brunch for the Oregon Brewfest and plan to drink the weekend away at the Brewfest. The only thing that would make the week more sweet – winning this package!! We attend the Brewfest every summer and love it!!

  151.   Jill Says:

I’d love to go to the OBF and see how it stands up to the Great Taste of the Midwest!

  152.   Amy Says:

I have only been to this one time and loved it! I would love to go back but am a little short on funds! I’m a single mom who doesn’t get out much. It would be a fun date for my boyfriend and I! : )

  153.   Tory Says:

I LOVE this event, but times are tough. It’s hard to justify the expense, especially when kid stuff takes precedent.

  154.   David Says:

    Beer is so very near
    To my dear heart
    I struggle with such fear
    That we have grown apart
That is all I have time to write
But don’t deprive me of these tickets
    Out of malice or spite
To be left all alone with my crickets

  155.   California Joe Says:

    fingers crossed!

  156.   Tim Says:

  164.   Nichole Says:

I’m coming from Phoenix to visit my sister in Portland. I make it a point to attend the Beerfest every summer to get away from the heat (high of 104 today!! ugh) and enjoy some delicious beer and good company! I’m still a poor college student and a free beer pack would save me $20 in students loans (which with interest rates nowadays will be what seems like $100s by the time I can pay that $20 off. lol). Hope you can help make my trip!! :)

  165.   melanie Says:

pick me!! I’ve been looking forward to the brewfest all year and my bank account is trying to make my time not quite as fun!

  166.   Natalie Says:

Because it would make my trip up from Arizona (which I make every year just for OBF) even better! Can’t wait to beat the heat with some awesome PDX food and beer!

  167.   Charissa Says:

Beers and berries. That’s all I need to make my PDX summer complete.

  168.   shelley Says:

DOugh, the stuff, that buys me beer.
RAY, the guy that sells me beer.
ME, the guy, that drinks the beer.
FAr, the distance to my beer.
    SO, I think I’ll have a beer.

    Total Happiness…..

  173.   Matt Says:

    I love beer!

  174.   Desiree Says:

Before moving to Portland 4 years ago, I did not like beer. I thought all beer was like Coors and Bud Lite :P I have found out that beer is wonderful!!!!!! I would love to take my husband with me to the festival this year and try the many great beers offered.

  180.   Whitney Says:

Thursday, July 28th is my 21ST BIRTHDAY!!!! i have been looking forward to spending this epic day, or right of passage into a whole new world, at the Oregon Brewers fest all year long. But what can I say, I am a poor college student!

  181.   Kymberlee Says:

I would love to win this package for my husband, sometimes I think he loves the taste of beer more than he loves me and the kids. lol Here’s to hoping they pick this one for one of the packages. If not hopefully I have better luck next year.

  182.   Tiffany LaVaque Says:

I would so love to go! Last Year my now fiance proposed at Brewfest. Seeing as we are paing for a wedding that will be in September we don’t know if we can go this year! 184.   Bethany Moore Says:

I would love to win the beer package because when I moved to Portland 2 years ago, I was not a beer drinker, but more of a chocolate martini and red wine kind of girl. But when I submerged myself into the Portland culture and tried some delicious local beers like Black Butte Porter and McMenamin’s Terminator Stout, I became a completely changed woman! Now I am an exclusive drinker of dark ales, stouts, and porters, and one hell of a “beer snob” about it! No PBR for me! Gimmie the good stuff!

Beer is good, free beer is great!

  186.   Nuse Says:

My girlfriend will be up from Southern Oregon, we only see each other once a month.

  191.   Marilyn @ Lipgloss and Spandex Says:

I would like to win tickets because:
-I loooove the Oregon Brewers Festival! Drinking beer on the waterfront in the sunshine at Brew Fest is what I look forward to ALL YEAR. It’s better than Christmas.

Wellllll, it’s my best friends birthday that day and she loves beer and I don’t have enough for us both :] Also, my whole work crew is going and I’d like to go with them but again, not enough funds for everything. I’m also hoping my Fred Eckhardt will be there so we can hang out for a while.

We do our best with the local brewerys (Laurelwood, Bridgeport, etc.)and we truly deserve this little outing if there is any justice in this world.
