A Summer Food and Wine Experience on July 28th
Northwest Wines to You will be hosting a pre-IPNC summer food and wine experience in the heart of wine country at picturesque Red Ridge Farms on July 28, 2011 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event features 15 independent northwest wineries, live music and savory bites from Red Hills Market chef Jody Kropf and Biggio Hamina Cellars chef Caroline Hamina.
Tickets to the event are $55 and include a shuttle ride to and from Red Ridge Farms from downtown Portland. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to ¡Salud!, a non-profit organization that helps provide access to healthcare services for Oregon’s seasonal vineyard workers and their families. Guests can watch the sun set over the Dundee Hills at Red Ridge Farms and enjoy live music from renowned concert rock violinist Aaron Meyer and smooth tunes of jazz musician Michael Gullo as they sample wines from 15 independent northwest wineries and delicious food from Red Hills Market chef Jody Kropf and Biggio Hamina Cellars chef Caroline Hamina.

This sounds like a great way to end a day. The best part is almost no overlap in wineries from this and the Best of Oregon Food and Wine Festival. The shuttle is perfect for two people with no designated driver.

I live right in the middle of wine country and have never been to any of the wineries around us. I have been up Breyman Orchards several time but never have had the opportunity to stop at Red Ridge Farms, it’s beautiful. It’s also my husband’s birthday and what a suprise this would be!

I just stumbled upon Red Ridge farms a few weeks ago when my husband and I were traveling and tasting around that area for our 25th wedding anniversary. We had the most wonderful impromptu picnic under the pergola. I’d love this opportunity (and excuse!) to go again!
