The Daniel Johnston Art Show, Space Ducks: An Infinite Comic Book of Musical Greatness kicks off with a First Thursday opening event on Thursday, August 4, from 5-9pm, and culminates in a special live performance at the agency by Daniel himself on August 25.
Daniel Johnston, singer, songwriter, musician and artist, has spent the last 30 or so years exposing his heartrending tales of unrequited love, cosmic mishaps, and existential torment to an ever-growing international cult audience. He has long contemplated the battle between good and evil that rages in both his head and the world around him, but until now he hasn't focused it through the lens of his first true passion-comic books.
The show will feature work from Daniel's Daniel Johnston's first ever, long-awaited, soon-to-be-released comic graphic novel, Space Ducks: An Infinite Comic Book of Musical Greatness, as well as selections of his most popular previous work.
