Crystal Ballroom

PDX Bridge Festival announces their Closing Party at the Crystal Ballroom, to be held August 7, 2011. Both the main Ballroom and Lola's Room will host the finale of this year's PDX Bridge Festival, with thirteen bands performing on two stages for seven hours. Doors open at 5:00pm, with the party continuing on until 1:00am.
Performers include Copy, Serious Business, Wanderlust Circus, The Hague, Tango Alpha Tango, The Dimes, The Horde and The Harem, Mnemonic Sounds, Water & Bodies, Sara Jackson-Holman, Violet Isle, dropa, and Symmetry/Symmetry.
In the main Ballroom, Dropa ignites the evening with magnetic and melodic electro acoustic tracks, followed by quality rock from Water & Bodies, a true Portland circus experience with the Wanderlust Circus, folk-pop all stars The Dimes, and foot stompin' rock with Tango Alpha Tango. Closing out the night is the electro-hip hop of Serious Business and a late night dance party with local electronic heavyweight, Copy.
Just downstairs in Lola's Room features the CD release party for local indie-Americana all stars, The Hague. Formerly, And I Was Like What?, The Hague's new album, ¬Å“The Stark House EP,¬Â shows music that is truly that of the Pacific Northwest, with sounds of rock, indie, pop and country influences. If anything, stop in Lola's Room just to witness the finger tapping by The Hague front man, Shawn Steven. Joining The Hague downstairs will be Seattle favorites, The Horde and The Harem, along with Symmetry/Symmetry, Violet Isle, Sara Jackson-Holman, and Mnemonic Sounds.

I want to go see all of these bands soooooooooooo bad!!!
Would love to go and attend this closing party and see all the great bands! Plus Circus acts? That is just awesome.
I’ve got a fresh deck and can deal 13 cards quicker than. . .

Wrong Bridge. . .
But, if I win free tickets, I’ll still bring the cards. . .
This sounds like tons of fun! I need an event like this to cheer my boyfriend up. He is in a funk and needs to get out. Winning some tickets would make us both very happy!
Serious Business and DJ Copy will be amazing – I’d love to be there on the dance floor to contribute some of my energy to this awesome festival!
Wanna go!
I’d like to attend because I’m my own circus act.
Reasons I want to go (from south to north): Sellwood, Ross Island, Marquam, Hawthorne, Morrison, Burnside, Steel, Broadway, St. Johns…

I’ve never been to the Crystal ballroom before and this sounds like it would be an amazing time.
Is this like a “bridge loan” provided by PDX Pipeline? If so, I would truly like to submit my application. Thanks!
Circuses are one of those things in life that give me the heeby jeebies. I love that vibration in my brain but it is so rare.
