Eleven years ago, Portland, Oregon was a sleepy burg, and MusicfestNW was little more than a hope and a prayer-a hope of putting on a music festival that matched the outsized ambitions of the alt-weekly that founded it and a prayer that the wheels wouldn't fall off. Today, Portland is one of the most exciting cities on the globe. And MusicfestNW has become the third largest indoor music festival in the United States.

Time magazine dubbed our festival one of 50 Authentic American Experiences of 2009. MusicfestNW is not just about the hottest music; it's also become the perfect platform for companies seeking to engage consumers and give them an experience like no other.

¬Å“The Northwest has always been on the cutting edge when it comes to music, and here's your chance to find out why.¬Â-Time.com

Just the Facts: MFNW is produced by Willamette Week, Portland's Pulitzer Prize-winning alt-weekly newspaper. WW not only covers culture, it creates it. Each week, a quarter million people read the paper and its website, and for months preceding MFNW, Willamette Week puts its broad shoulders firmly behind the festival.

In 2010 MFNW showcased more than 170 bands across 18 venues including the brand new outdoor venue, Levi's Pioneer Stage at Pioneer Courthouse Square. More than 20,000 fans danced and sweated to performances by The National, The Decemberists, Major Lazer, Panda Bear, Okkervil River, Wiz Khalifa, The Smashing Pumpkins and Black Lips.

In 2011, MFNW will be taking over the city. See you September 7th through September 11th.

  5.   Rachael Rice Says:

I just moved to Portland from Montpelier, VT. Am a singer-songwriter and rarely can afford to pay good money for live music, and these acts are amazing. After floating in the Great Salt Lake I downloaded the song by Band of Horses…beautiful music.

  6.   Myla Says:

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to win! I missed MFNW last year and I’ve need to make up for it:)

  7.   Ron Says:

Of course I want these tickets!

  8.   Bridget Says:

Music is my life, always has been. I am a full time graduate student and deep into loans and debt. I will make a way to attend, but winning tickets would be amazing.

I need to make some new friends.

    Love the lineup!!

  11.   Oliver St.George Says:

I would very much appreciate the free wristband and tickets because I am a die hard Portland music fan, I am involved in Portland music, I am a poor college student and I want to have a great time before I have to head back to school! Thank you very much!
    O

  12.   meghan Says:

live music is one of the best things on this planet!

  13.   Brian Says:

Totally love Explosions in the Sky but I just got laid off so I can’t afford the tickets. I’d love to win a pass.

  14.   Emily Says:

I can never afford MFNW but have always wanted to go!

  15.   Roya Says:

this would be too good to be true! I would love love to go!

Wow! Winning this may make my lifetime! Please pick meeeeeeeee

  17.   Erin Says:

As a teacher, MFNW is a great way to start the school year, but as a teacher, I don’t get a full paycheck until October, so I’d love a free wristband! Thanks so much!

  18.   Annie Says:

I’d love to have tickets to Explosions, it’s my anniversary coming up, and we both love them! So Long Lonesome is one my fav songs.

  19.   Jason Jancosek Says:

in the last month my bike has been stolen, laptop fried, and job lost thus making concerts a luxury. this would take the sting out and probably reduce swelling. oh, and also, it’ll be my birthday week.

  20.   503Jesse Says:

I met my wife ay MFNW 2009. We got married at MFNW 2010 at Backspace Lounge during the Boat show as they played you should really really rethink your life. We were hoping to try and make a baby at this year MFNW during the Big Fredia set but don’t have the money for two tix. So winning one would be great.

  21.   Erik Says:

I want to win these tickets

  22.   Phil Says:

MFNW is awesome! Great and unexpected things happen!

  23.   Kimberley W Says:

Well, what more can I say than I have a very dear friend I would LOVE to take to MFNW (and the costs are simply too much on our meager budgets!), but it looks like you’ve got some other folks on here who would benefit even more by winning!! Good luck to all, and thanks as usual, PDX Pipeline, for the giveaway!!

  24.   Justin Morton Says:

I would like the tickets because I’m an army ranger who is flying back from Afghanistan to Portland that weekend and I am going to propose to my fiancé during the Band of Horses song “Nobody Loves You Like I Do.” It’s our song and I would sing it every night to her during my patrols outside of Kabul.

(actually that’s a lie. But it seems like those are the comments that always win these kinds of contests.)

  25.   Lorelei Says:

I’ve never been and have always wanted to go! Would love to surprise my boyfriend with this!! I would loooove to see Avi Buffalo!

  26.   Colleen Says:

I need to see Thee Oh Sees in a bad way. I’m getting older and I won’t have the patience or endurance for late, loud shows much longer. If I get the wristband, then I can afford to have a few beers with the shows to boot!

  27.   Beth Olson Says:

Last year absolutely blew my mind! The first day alone we packed in 11 shows. This is how much we love live music. The line up is great but I especially love that there is so much music I haven’t heard before and since 2 of my top bands last year were discovered at MFNW we’ve been eagerly looking forward to going this year. Unfortunately, like a lot of people, the financial gods haven’t been smiling recently and there just isn’t any way to save up for 2 wrist bands and still pay rent.

This could make it a possibility for this year. And it definitely won’t go to waste by only being used for a couple shows.
    Cheers!

  28.   Stephanie Says:

Oh man, I need this! I’m in the middle of two months straight, at work, and taking care of a boyfriend with two broken arms, at home. I could really, REALLY do with a weekend to just kick back and have the best time and I LOVE the lineup here. Please? Please, please?

  29.   Shelley Says:

Why? Not only is MFNW amazing and has the best music from Local as well as non local bands, it creates an experience that can’t be matched anywhere else. in other words, Why NOT?

  30.   Amy Ruth Says:

I have never been to MFNW. My husband & I are such EITS fans, but we’ve never seen them. We are always broke, or working, or in the wrong corner of the U.S. Please, please, please choose me as your winner!!!! Thank you!

  31.   Jessie Says:

MFNW is such a portland thing. it’s great to be on the bus late at night and see all the people stumbling home from shows or trying to figure out where all the venues are. Fantastic shows help things too.

  32.   Amy Beth Ruth Says:

Well, for starters, I have never been to MFNW. But, on top of that my husband & I are such EITS fans!!! We’ve never seen them. We are always broke, or working, or in the wrong corner of the U.S. Please, please, please choose me as your winner!!!! Thank you!

  33.   Andrew Says:

    Because God loves me.

  34.   Vanessa Says:

Need my live music fix be for I fall into the world known as grad school

  35.   Jesse Says:

I must fulfill my childhood dream of seeing the Butthole Surfers live.. oh, yeah, and some of those other bands too. And to make my girlfriend sit through it.

  36.   Ryan Daniel Fretz Says:

I’m working on my music writing and promised myself to write about all the great music that I see and hear this summer; report on the great shows I see in Portland. Specifically about the venues, with words on performance, cost, drinks and logistics. The idea was to brag up the Portland music scene, cause it’s First Class great.

In years past for MFNW, I have just bought the few tickets to the shows I really wanted to see, or got into the free Wonder shows via Nike and Jackpot. Last year, I hung out at Departure above the Nines and Director Park to over-hear the Pioneer Square shows. The idea was to always spend less than the wrist band since I couldn’t ever justify it. This year would be great to have an all-access pass like this to really plan around; get to see more shows with less logistics.

I have to admit that I’m behind on my writing for the blog, still gotta write up James Blake, Cults, Deelay Ceelay, a few more. I think with winning these tickets, I’d have a bit of a commitment to ya’ll and those that didn’t win to step up my game a little on my summer resolution. I’d like to win and spread my good luck in all of y’alls ears.

  37.   Jesse Ruth Says:

I would like to attend because I’m old (late 30s) and never get to do anything fun. My current life is dedicated to doing responsible shit (parenting, etc.). Please give me the opportunity to spread my wings and briefly fly out of my responsibility cage. Thank you.

  38.   Diana Says:

This is the music I listen to in my lab. If we’ve done anything to advance cancer research, it has been to the music of Iron and Wine.

  39.   Hilary A Says:

This would be a great gift to my son and his awesome girlfriend. They are incredible music lovers, and are off to college in a few weeks. What a sendoff experience this could be.

  40.   Dawn Says:

I love, love, love Band of Horses!! I love, love, love, love people such as yourselves who are generous enough to give someone like lil ‘ol me something to dream and hope for. These tickets would be a vacation from the harsh realitys I’ve been facing lately.

Thank you for taking time to read this!
    Dawn

  41.   Jon Says:

I’d obviously love to attend this event. I haven’t seen Explosions for about 5 years, even though I’m a large fan. I lived it up at MFNW last year, but just cannot justify it this time around. I’m really optimistic I can still make a couple of the other shows this year (Blitzen Trapper, particularly), but regardless I hope people support it so it continues in 2012.

  42.   Jeremy Says:

I’m a music whore, so events like MFNW are a perfect fit for me… and if I win, I’ll shout it from a rooftop downtown! It’s a win-win for both of us ;)

  43.   lisa Says:

I am not a girl to grovel but why I would would be filled with joy and unicorn bits to win a musicfest northwest wristband, first to promote the hookup from pipeline pdx, true freaking story secondly, its all about fighting loving living rock and roll in the rip city (til I die) #supportinglocaleconomies #cannotstopwontstop #truehipstershit

  44.   Leonard Says:

Have always wanted to do MFNW

  45.   Lauren Says:

    I wanna go!

  46.   sonja Says:

i would love to see “explosions in the sky” – please pick me for saturday, september 10th, my husband would be so thrilled if i could surprise himwith those tickets! please….. thank you! you’re the best,
    pdx pipeline!

  47.   Carina Says:

Explosions in the Sky is the only reason I need!

  48.   Jason Says:

    Oh, oh, oh!!! meeee pleasssseeee
i’ve lived in PDX for 9 years and I’m always too broke to get a wristband. I always have to buy single tickets for the shows I MUST see. would love to attend the entire event at least once. Please Please please… ;) & ty ty ty.

  49.   Charles Says:

Mfnw is my favorite Portland event and I look forward to it every September. I would love a free ticket!

  50.   Tonia Says:

Because I’m unemployed and music keeps me going, keeps me sane, keeps me from being totally depressed!!!!!!

  51.   Bridget Says:

My husband loves so many of these bands, but he’s out of work and we can’t afford it – unless we get the wristbands for free!

  52.   Robert Dingwall Says:

I need one of those wristbands! Pleeeeeeaaaassseee!!!!!

  53.   Matt Says:

I’d love to win because it’s the single best and most comprehensive showcase of Portland’s music scene and some top-flight national artists.

I’m especially excited about Blind Pilot’s set at the Crystal Ballroom and can’t wait for their new album. Beyond that, there are dozens of bands I’d love to check out — Iron & Wine, Explosions in the Sky … the list goes on. It would be unreal to take in that line-up next month.

Not just that, but my birthday is just three days before the fest starts. It would be the best birthday present.

  54.   Jared Says:

MFNW has the best shows, such good variety and spread out over the tightest venues. It wouldn’t be september if i couldn’t make it and dance like it was the zombocalypse.

  55.   heather M. Says:

Pretty please! I never win anything. I’ve paid in the past to see my friends’ bands play. This would be killer diller!

  56.   Heidi Fernandez Says:

My daughter and I enjoyed a few of the concerts last year. We had a great time and would love to enjoy them again. Your pick of artists are spot on for everyone. Hope to see you all there. If I win the tickets of course.

  57.   Nicole Says:

I have never been to MFNW!! I love Portland and love going to shows here and can’t believe I’ve never been able to make it happen. Please help me make this the year.

  58.   magbe Says:

I would looove to go see all these amazing bands…. please – pick me!

  59.   Jess Says:

What everyone else said…Basically, I’m poor and I wanna go, because MFNW is the best.

  60.   Amber Says:

I’ve been to MFNW every year since I’ve moved here and every year it gets better and better. Hoping this year will be the same. Also I haven’t heard alot of the bands this year so I’m hoping to get some new music ideas to keep me from going crazy this winter.

  61.   Caitlyn Says:

I had a blast at MFNW last year and can’t wait to go again this year. Getting free tickets would just be the icing on the cake :)

  62.   Kimberly P Says:

Oh my goodness would be so very happy to win tix! SO VERY HAPPY! Really wanted to buy tix but my three-legged cat Gitche Gumee is having his much needed first teeth cleaning next week and that costs a small fortune. He’s already lost a leg so I’m hoping he can hold onto his teeth for a long time. Winning tickets would be pretty sweet. Please and thanks!

  63.   San Says:

I want to win a wrist band… why? Because I’m trying to resolve this bittersweet feud between Brooklyn, NY and Portland, OR at least in my mind. I think the wrist band might tip the scales heavily in Portland’s favor.

  64.   Shane Says:

I go to this every year, and I’d love to go for free!

  65.   Paty elguera Says:

I really need these tix! Unemployed/ retired in Portland.

  66.   Erica Stokes Says:

I want to win this because it is high time for me to indulge in the hipster culture that thrives in our fair city. I’ve got the skinny pants, the flat sandals, and the ironic attitude to assimilate easily into the legions of fans. ; )

Oh yeah, I also really love a number of bands that are playing this year, and I hope to discover new ones too!

  67.   Maggie Says:

I wish wish wish I had the money to go to the MusicFest NW shows, but AmeriCorps keeps me forcibly in poverty. I miss live music!

  68.   Colleen Erin Cole Says:

I want to go as my last hurrah before getting back into grad school… the lineup of musicians is incredible… I would be one happy happy girl :)

  69.   Lisa Says:

I’m SO stoked for all the Horsey bands… Horse Feathers, Band of Horses … so why don’t y’all just saddle up and pick poor destitute me. Pretty please pardnah?

  70.   birdonit Says:

This would be my first ever MFNW, and if I win a wristband, I plan to see as many shows in 5 days as humanly possible. I might even have to clone myself to see all the bands on my list. Thank God for laboratory sheep paving the way.

  71.   Katie Says:

I am so excited for MusicFest NW! So many great bands and a free wristband would be AMAZING!

  72.   abe Says:

I’ve always attended music fest as a musician – this is the first year I’ll be attending – I’d love a sliver of my former wrtistband fame!!!

  73.   Tom Says:

Eventually, I should win something if I keep entering… every week.. for years… right?

  74.   alan silver Says:

TBA and MusicFestNW at the same time… I can do both, I swear it! Loving what I’m seeing for the lineup for MFNW, would love to attend, and would hug everyone who will let me, if I win. Thanks for all you do!

  75.   Kim Says:

I would love to go to MFNW! The lineup looks amazing, but I can’t really afford to pay to much. Keeping my fingers crosses!

  76.   David Says:

I would love to finally win something from PDX Pipeline and have an epic story to tell all my friends.

  77.   Viola rose Says:

    this would make my year!

  78.   shobha grace Says:

wow.. I am daydreaming about the fabulousness of winning and it feels like christmas morning!

  79.   Tara Tokura Says:

I want!! Would love to see every single one of these awesome bands play…I love that there is such a variety! Please give me a wristband to drag along as many people as possible to share the music LOVE <3

  80.   onewhoreads Says:

I must see these performances! I came to Portland to finish my degree, and for two years I’ve had precious little time or money for anything (beyond mere survival) other than tuition, books, going to class, and doing homework.

Now that I’m finally done with classes, yet still not properly employed, I have plenty of time and no cash. Make it happen. Don’t doom me to live in a city renowned for its music scene without experiencing live music. Do the right thing.

  81.   Steve burnett Says:

The list of bands is mind blowing. I’d love to win a wristband. I haven’t been out since my daughter was born

  82.   arni Says:

So many good bands!! I would love to have a wristband for the festival!

  83.   Cristin Says:

Hippie parents. That’s what I had as a kid growing up in Alabama. There was always music playing in our house & I spent hours hanging out in record stores with them. However, having hippie parents also made me a total freak with my peer group, and it didn’t get better when I entered my punk rock teen years. Hence, I bolted to Oregon when I turned 20 & kissed the ground when I got here. My parents? Still in Alabama, still listening to good music, though they often have to leave the state for it. They’re coming for a visit to Portland, arriving September 8. I would love to show them a good time & take them out to see some amazing shows-Iron & Wine, The Kills & Blitzen Trapper are all bands they know & love, but I just opened a business last year & money is tight. A wristband would be a great present to make it possible for us to rock out, en famille. Heartwarming, right? The cool thing is, it’s TRUE.

  84.   Lance Says:

I’d love to attend MFNW. Haven’t been in a while & it’s always a great time.

  85.   Hipster Wannabe Says:

How can I be a hipster if I don’t have a wristband for the coolest music fest in town?

All sarcasm aside, please pick me!

  86.   Asha Says:

I’d love to take my boyfriend, as MFNW is always during his birthday (Sept 11th) and he hasn’t been yet – even though he loves all of the bands that play!

  87.   Gina Says:

I love music and music festivals. I’d love to see Iron & Wine, Explosions in the Sky, and all of the other bands. Who wouldn’t want to go to this?

  88.   Michael Romay Says:

Give me stuff already. You don’t appreciate me… =P

  89.   Stacey Says:

This would be freakin’ awesome to win!

  90.   Amit Says:

I love musicfest, and this is the first chance i’ve had to go in three years! Also, I really need to see Archers of Loaf

  91.   Mrrranda Says:

I want to win this because having a wristband would enable my running back and forth between Holocene and Ash Street and then to Dante’s in one night, since I wouldn’t pay a triple ticket fee, which frankly right now I cannot swing. Also: Thrones opening for Butthole Surfers? Yes, please. And thank you.

  92.   Dave Says:

I’d love to attend NW MusicFest. What a great lineup of bands! Rock on, brother, rock on.

  93.   pdxcrowesfan Says:

This would be flat out awesome!!! I would be so stoked to get tickets to any of these shows let alone win a band so I feel lucky to even be in the running.. The really killer thing for me is that I can go check shit out between work, on break, and while my sons napping then hit it up again in the evening..Thanks for the shot..Peace

  94.   Mark clark Says:

We should get tickets because we went last year and totally had a ton of fun, but we just got married and haven’t bought tickets yet and we want to go out and share the fun with everyone!

  95.   Katie Says:

I won tickets last year. I don’t think I should be expected to pay this year. Because I still don’t have the money. And my boyfriend drinks all the whisky. All the time.

  96.   Kacy Says:

There are sooo many amazing bands that I would love to see but each year I only end up seeing one or two because I cant afford a wrist band. It would be fantastic to have free reign to see as many bands as I possibly could!!!!! Yeeeaaahhh!

  97.   Johnny Says:

Portlandia at it’s inimitable best. So many to choose from, a see all wrist band would solve the problem without a doubt.

  98.   Tom Says:

This would be a great time and place to propose to my girlfriend, since she loves most of the bands!

  99.   Jen Says:

As a true Oregonian it is sad to say I have never been. I just recently went through a divorce and was married the entire time the festival has been going. He thought the festival sounded dumb so we never got tickets. Now I am free and single and want to experience it! Could be a great place to say later ya big jerk to some bad memories of love gone sad!

  100.   Michelle Says:

    Me Me Me!!! Pick Me!!!

  101.   Stacy Says:

My plan was to charm you with a witty tale about how I am one of the few native Oregonians that live in Portland and how lovely and sasstastic I am. I was going to follow it up with a little something about my general awesomeness. Then I was going to say how the only thing really holding me back from being a true Portlandia legend was the super lame fact that I have never been to MFNW. And all of this was supposed to be highly original and captivating. I went through all of the posts and no one had done this….until I got to the very last post! despite this, all of the things I had intended to tell you are still true and I think we both know it would bring you great joy and happiness to gift me the tickets! :-)

  102.   Metameta Says:

Eleven years ago Portland was a sleepy burg? I think not, foolio.
Portland has always been the best and it didn’t need midwesterners fleeing their crappy towns, monikers like ‘Portlandia” or acclaim from Time magazine to make it so.

I’d love to see some free music and win some wristbands but otherwise I’ll probably stay away from the likes of MFNW, when the douchery comes out in droves.

  103.   Lara Says:

Did somebody say Archers of Loaf? I’m there!

  104.   Dan Wheeler Says:

I’ve never been to the MusicFest. Think it’d be DAMN fun to check it out. =)

  105.   Robb Says:

My belly is hungry cause I can’t afford food
I’m broke as a joke so my ears suffer too.
Night with eats and good music would be the best.
I wish I had tickets to Music Fest Northwest!

  106.   Jesse Says:

Band of Horses and CJ and the Dolls, MFNW is the best for International and Local talents that Portland has to offer. It is sort of a right of passage no? Support Music. Support MFNW. Oh, and if I land a pass, my friends will inevitably buy tickets or passes….cheers!

  107.   Jessica Says:

Do you have any scotch tape?

    Cause I am ripped!!!!!!!!

Please I want to win tickets.

    Thanks.

  108.   Annie Says:

Since the place I worked for several years closed down in July I have more free time than I ever imagined possible. I can dedicate an extended weekend to a top notch music festival…if I could afford it. I’ve never been to MFNW and this could be my year to experience it in full.

  109.   Julia Says:

It would be amazing to see all of this great music. I have the time but not the funds, so I’d love to win tickets.

  110.   Amanda Says:

I would love, love, LOVE to be able to go to MFNW!! It sounds so awesome and this year it actually falls on days I’ll be available, and the lineup looks awesome!!

  111.   Shelda Says:

Uhm, I basically need to win these tickets. :-)

  112.   Jon Says:

I would love to see Iron & Wine at a venue where I can actually hear them perform. Tried to watch them at other fests this year and cross-stage noise always drowns them out. Hoping MFNW can put this travesty right!

  113.   Chuck Abruzzo Says:

I would love to win a wristband so I can get to some of these shows. The Kills, Butthole Surfers, Vaccines, Thermals. Lineup kicks ass this year!

  114.   Carrie Says:

Well, so many others want this wristband but I think it should go to little old me. Why? Not because I’m broke (though it’s true), not because I’m a die hard music freak (though that’s also true), not even because seeing all these great bands would inspire me creatively in life for the next year (true, true, true), but because it would save my friendships. If I can’t win one I’ll be begging my friends to use theirs during the times they aren’t going. How pitiful, how sad, but a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. Choose me!

  115.   Yuri Says:

    So awesome!! I want it!!

  116.   Don Says:

Been in PDX like almost 8 years now and have never been to MFNW. Man, I’d really like to go this year. Please bless me with some tickets! Peace out.

  117.   Kristie Says:

PICK ME! I’m buying a bike this weekend just so I can be sure to get to as many shows as possible without having to deal with parking, traffic or dui’s. IT. I’m most excited for Little Dragon and Big Freedia.

  118.   Leonard Says:

    So excited about MFNW!

  119.   Sarah Says:

It would be awesome to win a pass to MFNW! There are so many great shows to see.

  120.   Ray B. Says:

I love the line up of bands this year!! Should be some really awesome shows. Please pick ME!!!!!!

  121.   susan Damato Says:

plz enter me in the drawing for a free wristband–i want to see blind pilot!! and catch some new bands too!

  122.   christopher Says:

so i can learn to cure the sick also i want to be able to sit on my hands and hold my breath till i pass out

  123.   Laura Garnet Says:

Pick me, Pick Me, Pick me!!!!

  124.   Kim Says:

I need something to do that week.

  125.   Leigha Says:

I would love, love, love to win the wristband to MFNW! So many great bands to go see!

  126.   S Says:

Great bands!! I’m from Austin, and it’s Portlands version of SXSW. I love it~

  127.   Cara Says:

I would of course love to win these tickets! Great lineup this year. Hoping to catch as many shows as possible throughout.

  128.   Georgie Says:

Some of the most special shows I have ever seen in Portland have been at MFNW. Probably my favorite was going downstairs in Shanghai Tunnel to see Nash Kato, just him and a guitar playing songs in a little area of cleared tables, eye-level to us all (well the tall ones). I can’t afford a wristband this year, but to win one would be a dream come true!

  129.   Jen P Says:

I would like to win for one simple reason! I am a music freak!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love live shows, I support the PDX music scene by paying moocho dollars on a weekly basis and I would love to surprise my husband with something Free!!! Help me!!!! Trust me I’ll promote this site, and every band, I have a big mouth lol ;)

  130.   tgotoe Says:

Went last year; would love to go again this year!

  131.   Sandra C Says:

I am a teacher of high school students. I need to be able to bring in good music that I can use to teach all those good literary things. Like Iron and Wine’s Lion Mane to teach metaphor: And love is a tired symphony
    You hum when you’re awake
And love is a crying baby
Mama warned you not to shake
    And love’s the best sensation
    Hiding in the lion’s mane

Come on. End of summer treat for hard working public servant. Please.

  132.   Panda Says:

Like most everyone else here, I enjoy this awesome music but can’t afford it (esp. since the extreme increase in cost over the years). But you should choose me to receive the wristband because I’m also a ridiculous procrastinator! ;-)

  133.   Danielle Says:

I would LOVE to win because this is days before my birthday, and I havent done anything for my birthday for 6 or 7 years. Its time to celebrate ME! : )

  134.   Francisco Says:

So I can do something fun without breaking the bank! This would be great!!!

  135.   Brian Jones Says:

If I’m still eligible, I’d like to win because I was out waiting in line for Tallest Man on Earth last year and never got in!

  136.   Hoeyjays Says:

I would love to win because every time I try and get tickets to Band of Horses, I’m always just too late. I want to rub these across the smug faces of my friends…hopefully, giving them a few paper cuts in the process…..

  137.   Shawn Koziel Says:

I would like to win the tickets, so I have a birthday present for my wife. I relocated here from NY in late June and the job I was supposed to have fell through. So I didn’t work for 2 months, I have a much lower paying job right now but I can’t afford a birthday present for my wife this year. She is a terrific wife and mother to aor two kids and deserves a fun night out. That’s why I would like to win the tickets.

  138.   RebeccaL Says:

I would LOVE to attend MFNW because what could possibly be better than 3 full days of live music!!! :)))

  139.   mroach Says:

I am a huge fan of so many of these bands, I must see them all!

  140.   Laura Says:

I’ve missed out on this the last few years because of work and this year I’m FREE! I would love to attend!

  141.   Oliver Says:

Ooh! Ooh! Me! Pick me! ME!

  142.   Jana Says:

Portland, Portland, Portland…although I’ve traveled far and wide this summer, I always return home to you…would love to go to our fair Music Fest-o-rama..I picked you Portland, now please pick me…

  143.   Jodie Says:

MFNW is so awesome every year. Can’t wait to see the kills kill it!

  144.   Carine A Says:

A new generation is here-I’m psyched to have my daughter pick out the cool bands on my behalf!

  145.   kelsey mcgovern Says:

    yes please! pick me!

  146.   Jacob Says:

Quite amazing response to this. Why do I want to go? Because i’ve never been. I never get to experience things like this. Of course I’m sure theres many people in my situation in Portland…

  147.   Lois Says:

Moved to Portland about a year ago. I really need to get out and experience some things. This would be great. Thanks.

  148.   Larry Evans Says:

You have to go MFNW. It’s the most awesome event in oregon to end the summer. I’ll be up front.

  149.   Scott Pierce Says:

I love going to see live music and discovering new music.

  150.   shasta Says:

    Yes please!!!!

  151.   Benny Says:

I’m about to move away from PDX after 4 years. I’ve never been able to make it to MFNW, and this would be the perfect going away present. Also, all of these unemployed people will have the chance to take my job. I’m totally a job creator. It would only be fiscally responsible to give me the wristband.

  152.   Melissa Says:

Benny has a great response, pick him, and then pick me too, cause I like music too.
