Hi — I would love to win these tickets for a dear friend who struggled with prostate cancer this year. He played the trumpet in HS, and took it up again after his retirement from police work – sometimes to the chagrin of his wife! They both love Chris Botti. This would be a lovely gift for them. He’s awesome! My husband who passed away from pancreatic cancer 9 months ago loved him. We had talked about seeing him in concert. I would love to go with our daughter as part of our healing process.

I’d like to be a part of this performance because it’s been years since I’ve enjoyed a symphony. I played the oboe for over 8 years in my childhood years, and listening to the symphony would take me back to a quieter time and make me appreciate life even more.

My girlfriend and I have longed to go to an event at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and with Chris Botti with the Oregon Symphony, it is a dream come true. The lack of overall funds has prevented us from attending this high level of caliber for some time now.
This would be our first time ever going together as a couple to what surely would be an enchanting and memorable experience.

I WOULD LOVE TO GO SEE CHRIS BOTTI! Because one of my all time favorite jazz musicians is Mile Davis and in an interview in OPB with Chris Botti he said that Mile Davis was one of the reasons why he became a trumpeter, that Davis was his inspiration, and who he looked up too. Also his “when I fall in love†CD I have given it to friends and family, because good music is to be share. Aside from how proud I feel that he is from Oregon.

I grew up loving the jazz of the old masters but rarely got to see one in person. Now with this new generation of musicians who are masters of their own style I would love to be able to see and hear Chris Botti in person. Thanks for the opportunity.
