A live band with 2 fiddlers, a Korean-Canadian guitarist shredding electric sitar shirtless in a kilt, and 3 Panjabi boys: one singing, one playing dhol, and one playing tabla and electronics. With your hosts and resident DJs Anjali & The Incredible Kid.
When Anjali and The Kid first brought D2D to Portland in March of 2010 some amazing things happened after their performance: the seasoned staff of the venue from the manager to the barback commented on how it was one of the best shows they had ever seen. The door person mentioned that more people left the show telling him it was the best show they had ever seen than after any show he had ever worked.
The band themselves marveled at how their dhol player was showered with money by a highly enthusiastic Panjabi uncle; a Panjabi tradition, but something that had never happened to them before in any of their world touring.

Saw DJ Anjali and the Incredible Kid every night they played at Sasquatch and absolutely loved it. I sure wouldn’t mind dancing my ass off again this weekend!

I’d love to win because then I can bring a friend to the show who hasn’t seen the band before – I love them and see them every time they’re in town (I work at a non-profit, so I can’t usually afford to buy extra tickets as treats for people.) D2D is amazing, can’t wait to bounce!!!

I would love to attend the show so, so much. I saw Dj Anjali and The Incredible Kid this summer at Sasquatch and fell completely in love, and until they recently released their 45 minute mix I had no way to re-live the experience. I absolutely love their music. I saw them every time they played that week and I’ve never danced so hard. It would be amazing to spread the Punjabi love with a close friend!

I’d love to attend this show! I’ve wanted to see DJ Anjali ever since I moved here 2 years ago, and between my insane work schedule and school eating my life, this is the first time I’m actually free on a night they’re having a show. Plus, I’m part Scottish and realllllllllly wanna see the kilt-wearing sitar player!

If I can’t get my dance on with DJ Anjali, I fear relapsing into my old ways: Attending live music events for the sole purpose of tossing curried lentils at the acoustic-guitar playing, soulpatch-sporting hipster duos that overrun the PDX music scene. LOVE Incredible Kid and DJ Anjali. Saw D2D once after Incredible Kid’s suggestion, am itching to see them again after being more familiar with their music. LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Trying to convince my husband to come with me, as this is our one year wedding anniversary :) would be way better than quiet night alone, right?

Incredible kid and I are friends and he has been bugging me to see Dehli 2 Dublin. I love them. As an Irish lass who loves Indian music I would dig seeing this band live finally!
