Reading this book now and should be done by the time he get’s here. His theories are fascinating and his critiques of evolutionary psychology really pulled me in. I would love to hear him speak.

  2. Alyssa Siegel October 27, 2011 at 10:56 #

Just contributed to a book called “Your Brain on Sex”, which is a psychological look at why we have the desires and fantasies that we do. “Sex at Dawn” is next on my list of books to read and I would love to hear Christopher Ryan discuss his work!

Human sexuality over time is so fascinating! I’d love to learn more. Please!

  4. coco October 27, 2011 at 11:34 #

my coworker has done nothing but rave about this book and has been passing it around the “water cooler” sharing the love. It’s her birthday soon and would be a lovely way to spend the day with her!

  5. Hilary A October 27, 2011 at 13:32 #

If there are any holes in my learning, I would love to have them filled.

  6. Andrew October 27, 2011 at 13:53 #

My partner and I have been debating this subject (and now Sex At Dawn) for years, with me taking the “monogamish” side. What better way to deepen the conversation than a date with Christopher Ryan!

  7. sarah dehart October 27, 2011 at 14:11 #

I actually have never read the book but after listening to Savage Love and his shout out, I’d love to read the book and see this lecture.

  8. Sara October 27, 2011 at 14:16 #

I thought babies were delivered by storks?

  9. Lorelei October 27, 2011 at 14:25 #

Me! I’ve been following Christopher Ryan via twitter and other articles he’s written since Sex at Dawn was published in hardback. This book changed how the very core of how I perceive my own relationships. I study sexuality alongside psychology and would love the chance to go see him next week. I would consider it “extra credit” :)

Read it when it came out, and have given away a dozen copies. Thinking like this keeps nightmares and Puritans away! I would love to go, I even have friends going, but I lack the cash flow in wall street ‘s America. Send me?

I’ve read several magazine articles that introduced his theories, and I’ve shared these ideas at many a cocktail party. I haven’t had time to read the full book however, thus, winning tickets to the lecture would fill me with much more intellectual banter than I am currently stocked with.

My partner and I have been together for 8 months or so. His “price of admission” was for me to read Sex at Dawn. I admit, I’ve been afraid to read the book… it is still sitting on my night stand. Although I want to cultivate a healthy …relationship that includes partnered non-monogamy, I am afraid of my own emotions- jealousy, insecurity- and my personal perceived inability to even consider sex without love. I love my partner and would like to spend the rest of my life with him, but I need to overcome my fears. I want to read your book, and I believe that if I were to see/listen to you in person I may open up the book and the relationship, with confidence, knowledge and certainty.

  17. Donald October 28, 2011 at 00:27 #

  28. Lindsay October 28, 2011 at 21:26 #

As an evolutionary biology student with a particular interest in human mating from an evolutionary perspective, I would *love* to attend this show. My passion for my field of study is largely due to Sex At Dawn, along with a handful of topically similar books and authors, which gathered up my own musings on human behavior and funneled them through an accessible evolutionary lens: thus a zealot was born. Sex at Dawn was one of the most influential and satisfying books I’ve had the pleasure of reading and I’ve loaned my copy to countless friends. Would love to get my copy autographed (if appropriate) and attend this show!

  29. maya October 29, 2011 at 07:59 #

As a life long learner and hopefully life long happy gal, I think I could get a little insight while cracking up.

  30. Bekah October 29, 2011 at 10:29 #

  31. Corri October 29, 2011 at 12:37 #

I’m on my way to the bookstore right now !!!

  32. Rebecca October 30, 2011 at 21:02 #

I read his book this summer and couldn’t stop talking about it with everyone I saw. I even read parts out loud to friends because it was just so interesting. Haven’t jumped the monogamy ship yet but it this book offers some serious food for thought around sex, relationships, and the nature of human nature. Can’t wait to hear the author speak!

  33. S.R. October 30, 2011 at 21:20 #

Big fan!!! Feeling pretty enlightened these days after discovering Mr. Ryan on Savage Lovecast. Pick me pleeeeeeease!!

  34. Darcy October 31, 2011 at 07:17 #

I’m very interested in hearing some Q&A from the author since this is by far the most important & influential book I have ever read. I’m glad it was suggested to me & I’ve recommend it many times. I only wish I would have read the book sooner in life & saved myself some grief.

  35. Lauren October 31, 2011 at 14:38 #

This book justifies my entire life! I heard about it on Savage Love and finally read the book this month.

  36. Claire October 31, 2011 at 16:02 #

I need to learn me a thing or two!
