Neighborhood House is proud to partner with Live Wire Radio for a fund-raising event featuring Tom Kenny, the voice of Nickelodeon TV's ¬Å“Spongebob Squarepants¬Â on Friday, December 2nd at the Alberta Rose Theater. After the regular ¬Å“Live Wire¬Â radio show taping, a special after-party with the celebrated voice actor will benefit Neighborhood House, a Portland social service agency.
After-party ticket proceeds will support Live Wire and Neighborhood House programs, primarily the Emergency Food Box Program, which is the largest food pantry program on Portland's west side, serving an average of 600 low-income households every month. During the last year, the program provided nearly 280,000 meals to hungry people in the community. Neighborhood House also manages several programs serving children, seniors and families throughout the city.
Tickets to the ¬Å“Live Wire¬Â and the after party combined are just $35, or supporters of Neighborhood House may opt to attend the benefit party only for $20. After party Refreshments from Argyle Winery, New Belgium Brew Pub and others.

Please note that the after -party may not begin until 10:15, after the Live Wire radio show taping. Tom is a fantastic supporter of nonprofit Neighborhood House. He first developed a relationship a few years ago for a fundraiser that celebrated the work of Mel Blanc, who was a client of Neighborhood House as a youth and is one of Kenny’s greatest inspirations. (Mel Blanc’s first public performances were with the South Parkway Minstrels, an amateur vaudeville club in Portland that was part of Neighborhood House.)

That Spongebob! He’s an extraordinary fellow! I’ve been dunking my head in the Cannon Beach tide pools on big minus tide days… but haven’t met him yet. This sounds easier.
