StarChefs.comâ„¢, the award-winning online magazine for culinary insiders, is thrilled to announce its Portland Rising Stars winners for 2011. The winning chefs will be showcased at the StarChefs.com Rising Stars Revue on Monday, December 5, 2011, from 7pm to 10pm at The Nines Hotel.

Hosted by Chef Matt Christianson of Urban Farmer, the walk-around tasting gala gives diners the opportunity to sample dishes from StarChefs.com's Portland tastings, with beverage pairings by the winning sommeliers and mixologists, in one location, for one night only. This is the first year StarChefs.com has held a Rising Star Revue in Portland.

The Rising Stars awards recognize up-and-coming chefs, pastry chefs, sommeliers, and mixologists from around the country that represent future leaders of the national culinary scene. Each year StarChefs.com selects four American cities in which to name its Rising Stars. Candidates are nominated by the StarChefs.com Advisory Board, previous winners, local media, and the StarChefs.com website, as well as through StarChefs.com's editorial research. Winners are then chosen by the StarChefs.com editorial team.

StarChefs.com certainly knows how to turn the Monday frown upside down with their Rising Stars Revue. We are living in a yumsters paradise here in Portland. Let’s toast our talented, dedicated, hard working chefs, pastry pros, mixologists and sommeliers. To cordial cordials and relish to relish. Meat to eat and bread to break. We shall trumpet the crumpet, while we clink the drink, savor the flavors and sing of wine in the City of Roses. Looking forward to the Monday gala at the top o’ The Nines…

Thank the God’s it’s the Holidays.
