Timber Joey’s Christmas Trees Pizza Giveaway
Saturday, December 3
Noon – 6 p.m. | FREE | All Ages
Joey’s Christmas Trees
2410 N. Mississippi Ave.
Joey Webber is hosting a Christmas tree lot on the corner of Interstate & Mississippi that is raising money for the Portland Timbers Community Fund and the 107 is that will support their efforts to revitalize youth soccer fields in the Portland community.
To drive attendees, Papa Murphy's will serve complimentary pizza this Saturday, December 3rd alongside free beverages from Widmer Bros. Brewing.
Families will enjoy knot tying and from legendary Timber Jim and axe throwing demonstrations. Along with live music and one-of-a-kind ornaments made from fresh cut rounds emblazoned with a hot branded silhouette of Joey's axe.
¬Å“Growing up in a small logging town we didn't have access to the facilities like we're helping to build¬Â said Joey, ¬Å“so it feels good to do something where we can engage our fans and raise awareness and money for a worthy cause¬Â¦Beyond that, we're excited about extending the commemorative tree buying experience at our lot this holiday season.¬Â
Last year the Portland Timbers community fund and the 107ist helped to restore a number of soccer fields in the Portland area. Joey and crew hope to increase their efforts next year with a portion of proceeds from their Christmas tree lot.

My neighbors are going through a very rough patch and I would love to be able to give them a tree for Christmas. It would brighten the kids’s day to be able to have a tree for the holidays.

Since my husband and I arrived in Portland, OR, December 2006, we made a pledge to have a real Christmas Tree every year . When we relocated we accidentally left our box which had my whole life collections of Christmas decorations, I was very upset for a little while.
A real tree makes up for our loss.

We are going through a rough patch and our neighbors/landlords are being gracious and understanding. I would love to be able to give them a tree which their family could enjoy and we could come over to enjoy too, as a thank you.

Ever since my mother passed away in October of 2009 money has been really tight due to extra bills that were needed to be taken care of and what not my son and I have not had a tree for the past two Christmas’ and we would love to finally enjoy one this year. He is seven years old and he keeps telling me that all he needs is his family but, I know that he would be very suprised to have a real one this year. Last year we decorated a house plant lol. It was a great thought but wasn’t as good as the real thing. Happy Holidays!

For a native Oregonian, who’s had many family and friends working in the timber and Christmas tree businesses, over the decades, I believe the Portland Timbers chose this fundraiser, wisely and well! What a classically Northwestern approach toward helping our neighbors out, while teaching local history, and celebrating the Christmas Spirit with FUN! Nice going, everyone!

I just moved to Portland from Athens, GA with my two best friends. We are all 25 & very far from home for Christmas. We just got our first Oregon Christmas ornaments & would love a place to hang them!

I can’t afford one this year without taking away from being able to provide food for my 3 kids. This would definitely be a blessing

My fiance went on Orders last year for the Military and his job did not have his job for him after he returned . Since then I have been working and the only source of income while he stays home with our daughter. He’s been looking for a job but hasn’t had any luck. With the holidays and house repairs (our house flooded last month), and my daughters birthday, I’m cutting costs. This is the 1st year my daughter is some what understanding “Christmas” and I’d like to make it special for her! Please pick me! :)

My boyfriend went on Orders last year for the Military and his job did not have his job for him after he returned from orders, since then I have been working and the only source of income while he stays home with our daughter. He’s been looking for a job but hasn’t had any luck. With the holidays and house repairs (our house flooded last month), and my daughters birthday, I don’t have much for a christmas tree! :(

I don’t have a tree, I can’t afford a tree and I probably won’t get a tree. But I would love to have one!

I’m currently the broke blacksheep of the family. Christmas gifts are going to be tricky to impossible this year. I’ve also been crashing at my Father’s place for a while (not the bar. Lol) My Dad works all the time and gives a lot. I’d like to give back this year by giving him this Christmas tree. Did I mention he frequently attended Timbers games back in the 70′s!
I realize there are a lot of deserving people for this tree. If I don’t win, I’d just like to say I think it’s a good thing you guys are doing.
Also, I think I might swing by and partake in the festivities at Joey’s Christmas tree lot.

First Christmas in Portland with the man I love. Money is a little tight this year, and I don’t think we will be able to afford a tree. Winning this would really help Portland feel more like home this time of year.
