December 8, 2011 — PDXPIPELINEThere are many great Portland Holiday events this weekend including the second annual Hawthorne Holiday Stroll with businesses participating up and down the street. It appears it will be another sunny December day in Portland, so it should be quite a succes.
Pipeline will be participating at Bazi Bierbrasserie’s “Gifts that Keep on Giving Party” just off 32nd and Hawthorne.

Portland's neighborhoods celebrate their identity in many ways; the Hawthorne District throws a party! The 2nd Annual Hawthorne Holiday Stroll features neighborhoodbusiness sales and parties, live music and entertainment, complimentary snacks and hot drinks, neighborhood carolers, and kid friendly festivities. Come check out Portland's original ¬Å“shop local¬Â district with over a hundred businesses that are dedicated to the ideals of community involvement and making Hawthorne a desirable place to work, shop, and live. Get ready, get set, shop local!
This year the Hawthorne Boulevard Business Association is teaming up with Fish Emergency Services (http://www.fishemergencyservice.org) to facilitate a decorated wreath auction in conjunction with the Hawthorne Holiday Stroll. Fish Emergency Services has been providing emergency food and utility assistance to families in need for over 46 years and 29% of recipients are children. Businesses will decorate the holiday wreaths and provide a raffle ticket (with purchase) on the day of the event. Participating establishments will donate a portion of sales to Fish.

Each participating store will further decorate a wreath purchased from Sunnyside Environmental School’s fundraiser and give it as a doorprize to a lucky shopper at their store.
Family entertainment is planned at SE 36th and Hawthorne throughout the day and the Bagdad Theater will have short Holiday films from 1 to 4pm.
