I have been a fan on Mannheim Steamroller my whole life, I used to listen to their Christmas music with my Granny and when she died I continued the tradition every year playing their album. How amazing would it be to see them live playing all my favorite Christmas tunes!

My wife and I have both grown up listening to Mannheim Steamroller and absolutely LOVE the band. This coming summer we are planning on heading overseas to do humanitarian aid work & community development in a country where Christmas really isn’t celebrated, so not only is this the last Christmas we’re going to have in the States for a while, but it will probably be the last Christmas where we can celebrate like this for a while. Being able to see Mannheim would make this even more of a Christmas to remember!

Mannheim Steamroller New Age Christmas sweet baby Jesus! My family grew up listening to this wearing pastel holiday sweaters with crystals. I think it would be awesome to see it live now and my mom does too.

I’ve loved this since I was a child. Listened to Mannheim on LP. I have never been able to go see a show and would LOVE IT! :)

I couldnt afford something like this.. It would be a amazing memory for my fiance and I..what a cool gift I could give to someone who’s been a lifeline for me and my daughters!

The first time I heard Mannheim Steamroller Christmas music as a 3 year old, I stopped in my tracks, threw off my post-bath towel and danced and rocked out in my birthday suit in the kitchen. From that moment forward, they have been my favorite holiday tunes :)

I am hoping to get tickets not for myself, but for my parents. I am a 33 year old mother of 2 wild and crazy boys. In the last year, and even more so these last 3 weeks my parents have helped and supported me and my family in such amazing ways. They have taken and cared for my children when both they and I were ill, at times becoming ill themselves as a result. They would do anything for me and for my family, and I really have no real way to show them my appreciation. They have stepped in and provided financially, physically and emotionally when our family has struggled with such a glad and giving heart. Growing up I remember hearing my mother and father listen to Mannheim Steamroller over and over again, and I specifically remember the Christmas Album we had being one of his favorites. They were given a CD as a gift so many years ago and fell in love with the energetic vibrant sounds that inspire the Christmas Spirit. I would love the chance to surprise and bless them in some small way with tickets to this amazing group.

I would love to go see this! This is the first year I’ve been getting into the holiday spirit and enjoying the music, and this reminds me of christmas tunes with my parents!

This is one of my all time favorite groups! They helped me get through my first Christmas alone! Love, love, love to go a. to hear them and b. to hear them live at the Schnitz!!!

  14. Hilary A December 14, 2011 at 15:58 #

This Jewish girl loves bacon and Christmas music…but only if it’s by Mannheim Steamroller. I would take my kid to the concert, who is getting no other holiday output from me this year…besides maybe a cable TV yule log and an IOU for when my Kosher Christmas Ship comes in.

  15. Renee Marshall December 15, 2011 at 07:41 #

PICK ME! PICK ME! Our family love Manheim Steamroller. They play the most Awesome Christmas music. I have shared their music with many other people, who are also now fans. I have all their Christmas CDs. I won’t boar you with the specifics, but my Christmas celebrations for the past few years have been minimal because of difficult times and extrodinary life challenges. This year I am beginning to return to the full enjoyment of Christmas. And I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to see Manheim Steamroller perform live at the Schnitzer!!! Thanks for having this contest, and Merry Christmas!

  16. Leslie Marshal December 15, 2011 at 10:21 #

My husband is not normally a music fan but is crazy about Mannheim. I can’t think of a better Xmas for him than seeing them in concert. It’s been a rough year for him and this would definitely end it on a good note!
    Thank you for doing this.

  18. Sandy December 15, 2011 at 15:58 #

  22. Elaine December 15, 2011 at 16:09 #

Who wouldn’t love to attend a Mannheim Steamroller concert? Unfortunately the ticket prices are a bit high for us retirees, especially at this time of year. If we get awarded the tickets that would be wonderful. If not, then whoever does get them will have the wonderful time and a great Christmas treat. Thanks.

  23. Heather December 15, 2011 at 16:10 #

When I was away at college (and missing my family) I listened to Mannheim Steamroller to get me in the Christmas spirit until I could go home and see my family. I have loved them ever since and would jump at the chance to go see them live!

  24. Jo'Z December 15, 2011 at 16:22 #

Holiday Dudes and Babes, unite. Occupy the Love Connection–not a game show, but a genuine feeling from the heart. You all rock, bless us every one, and my fingers are crossed I win these tix.

  25. John December 15, 2011 at 16:24 #

This is a perfect concert for the Christmas Season, in the correct location this time (several years ago it was at the Rose Garden, which was way to large for Chip and the other members.).

I would love to attend the performance if it is for the later evening concert since our daughter has a fternoon basketball game so that we would be unable to attend the 4:00 performance.

So if it’s the 4:00 performance, who ever wins, enjoy.

  26. sean December 15, 2011 at 17:24 #

I got my first taste of a performance at the Schnitz a couple weeks back and now I’m hooked. I’d love to be able to take my lady-friend to this lovely evening.

  27. Tina December 15, 2011 at 17:24 #

I love Mannheim Steamroller and I’ve been a fan of Chip Davis since “Convoy”! I’m a poor student and would love to win these tickets, so I can take my sweetie. Blow some Fresh Aire my way so we can celebrate the holidays in style.

  31. Teri December 15, 2011 at 17:59 #

Seriously…I almost bought tickets three days ago…then I paid our bills. I decided it would not be responsible to buy the tickets. Their music is so beautiful. That must be what it sounds like in Heaven! I would so love to go! What a special kick-off to the Christmas season! Please pick me! Yes… I am begging. (maybe wining tickets would be a reward for being responsible!!)

  32. James December 15, 2011 at 18:44 #

Have always wanted to see these guys. Been around a long time, they put on a great show.

  33. Gian Lozano December 15, 2011 at 18:44 #

I want to take my wife because she has been working, going to school and taking care of our beautiful daughter without complaining…okay, some complaining but manageable in a non-violent way.

  34. Kelly G December 15, 2011 at 19:28 #

My girl friend loves Manheim Steamroller, so it would be a wonderful win for both of us, and besides, I owe her a big one after I let the vacuum cleaner salesman into the house earlier this week to demonstrate two suckers: one was a Kirby vacuum and the second was me. Thanx PDXPipeline :)

  35. Kimberland December 15, 2011 at 19:42 #

  42. Adam December 16, 2011 at 10:30 #

When I was a kid I had a Mannheim Steamroller tape, my favorite song was Deck the Halls. Half way through the song, it had been recorded over by a lame radio broadcast!!! I want to hear it again!

  43. Noah December 16, 2011 at 11:18 #

Dang, I have been listening to Mannheim Steamroller for well over 20 years, and would love to see them live! This will be a toal Psychedelic X-Mas Show!

  44. Alyssa Y December 16, 2011 at 11:26 #

Like most folks on this column, I’m really poor. Any time I have an extra $80 around I buy toilet paper and tooth paste and other boring necessity stuff. I’d really love to go to this show but since I’m broke as a Dane Cook joke I need you to pick me. Have mercy on sista’, won’tcha!?

  45. heather December 16, 2011 at 12:13 #

  46. Tim December 16, 2011 at 12:21 #

We’ve had a very rough year, this year. We love this time of year and we are counting the blessings that we do have. It would be wonderful to be able to spend some time together as a couple and enjoy some tidings of great joy!
