Thirty years ago Geffen Records released Quarterflash’s self-titled first album which garnered 3 top forty hits (Harden My Heart, Find Another Fool, and Right Kind of Love). Harden My Heart raced up the charts and hit #1 on Billboard’s rock chart and #3 on their pop chart. By the summer of ’82 Quarterflash became the first Oregon band to garner platinum albums in both the US and Canada. To commemorate their thirty of years of creating music, the band is presenting a special show at the Aladdin Theatre on New Years Eve featuring all their original hits while playing songs from all 6 of their albums.

wow Quarterflash… brings the 80s right back
We would love to see Quarterflash…live at the Alladin..They are major sik! I love the song harden my heart…saw last in Vancouver.Wa at a downtown fair!! Please we would love to see them on new years eve!!
PICK ME! PICK ME! I knew quarterflash when they were Seafood Mama. I am proud that there is such a good band from Portland. I would love to see them in person. Thanks for offering this promotion.
A piece of Portland History to blast us into the future! Yes this would be a joy, a great classic venue for a classy Portland New Years! Yippee!
My ex-wife, (and friend) and I decided to start dating after I met up with her at a fast food joint in Anchorage, Alaska right after she attended the Quarterflash concert on New Years Eve 1984-1985! btw…our beautiful daughter just turned 21 this month!!! Yay Adrianna!!!
My husband doesn’t like to go out on New Year’s Eve. He calls it “Amateur Night”. I am positive I could persuade him to get off the couch for the evening if we won Quarterflash tickets. He loves 80′s music, and nostalgia, plus being a native Oregonian endeared him to Quarterflash even more. And I would love the opportunity to dress up and celebrate with someone beside Dick Clark for once! : )
My husband and I live in the house where Marv Ross grew up. I LOVE Quarterflash!!!! I grew up in the 80′s and have always loved them. There couldn’t be a better way to ring in 2012 than celebrating the anniversary of Quarterflash!!!
Quarterflash is awesome! This will be a GREAT show!
My parents met at a QuarterFlash concert, before when they were the Seafood Mama’s. I would love to win them tickets to this concert!
I’ve been a fan of Quaterflash since they were called Seafood Mama. Oh that Rindy!!
Have not yet experienced the Aladdin Theatre and Quaterflash would definitely do it right!
Sure, everyone loves Rindy Ross, from Seafood Mama days onward (and so do I) QuarterFlash wouldn’t be such a rockn’ band without Marv Ross, Jack Charles and DiGiallonardo!
This would be a super fun time, bringing back great memories, and at my favorite venue in the city! (Not to mention it’s close to home)
No plans for New Year’s Eve…..Yet! A trip down memory lane with Quarterflash sounds like a great time! And….I’ve never been to the Aladdin Theatre. There’s a first time for everything right?!
Pick me!! I live in Seattle and would live to experience NYE PDX-style!!
I live two blocks from the Aladdin and would love to spend New Year’s eve with Quarterflash.
I would love to start off the new year with some retro music. 2011 was a great year and I want to celebrate!
Harden My Heart!
I know Rindy personally and love to attend this show. Please pick me.
thanks
Portland rocks i really want to be there much love!!!!
30 years and Counting. I had a pastor and friend who shared how much he loved Seafood Mama! Then, in college I had friends who shared how they knew Rindy and Marv as teachers in Central Oregon. Then there was the movie “Night Shift” which featured Seafood Mama, now, in the ’80′s Quarterflash. Their music was very much a part of my ensemble of “walkman” music as I worked late into the night during my 80′s college years.
I had a friend from the midwest who discovered “Seafood Mama” in downtown Portland. In college, I had friends who shared their experience of Rindy and Marv as teachers. Then, the movie, “Night Shift” featured Quarterflash. Their music was very much a part of my “walkman” music ensemble while working into the late night during my 80′s college years
blast from the past? yes please!
I would love to go and see quarter flash.
My friend, my girlfriend and I would love to attend to this show. We are short on money :( so We would looove to get the tickets!!!!!!
Wow, a time warp.
Greetings! Due to economic hard times…My husband and I have not been on a “date” in almost a year and would love to see Quarterflash! Last time we saw them was in 1980 in Vegas when they were the opening act for Elton John! Please pick us :)…..Happy Holidays
I would like to attend, but wouldn’t pay. I am a full time student.
I grew up listening to them. What fun.
I can never win the coolness one-upsmanship of “what was your first concert”: can’t trump the B-52s, or Gang of Four, or The Fixx, or The Police, not with Quarterflash in Darlington, SC.
Not until now. Because now completing the circuit of 80s awesomeness to midlife crisis, it’s QUARTERFLASH FOR THE WIN!
They need me as much as I need them! And I need them to need me. Which is NOT a Quarterflash lyric, but OMFG wouldn’t it have been brilliant if it was?! Pretend it was.
Find another fool and pretend it was a lyric. Yes, that’s half ass, so pretend.
You’re welcome!
I wanna go!
I NEED something to do on NYE!!!!
“…….. for a band to make it big in America, it had to be three quarters rock and one quarter flash!”
I’m coming into Portland to see my girlfriend for new years and want to have a good time !!
Absolutely Love Quarterflash and have yet to see a concert at the Aladdin.
Started dancing to Seafood Mama, can’t believe Quarterflash emerged 30 years ago!
My boyfriend just surprised me and is flying up from Baton Rouge to be with me for NYE. He needs to experience Portland and a party at the Aladdin with Quarterflash would just about sum it up…with a few brews of course.
I have badass shoes for this party!!! Gimme tickets pretty please!
My Girlfriend (of almost a year) and is 33, has never been to a concert EVER, and I cant think of a better way to break her in than at a quarterflash concert at such a FANtastic venue as the aladdin theater and on new years eve. Our first new years together would be such a memorable one if we won.
You can’t get any better than this for New years!
One of the best concerts ever: Quarterflash & Night Ranger
If I get these tickets, I promise Will Smith will be my plus one.
I saw Quarterflash play a set in a basement club in downtown Portland in 1982. They were just getting popular, Harden My Heart was exploding on the scene. They were wonderful and I remember standing close enough to them to touch them (but I didn’t). It was a magical time and Quarterflash brought a lot of pride to Portland.
We would sure love some tiks. Cheers
