OH my wow!! I LOVE Peter Paul and Mary, I have ever since I was a child, I remember one year my granny gave my mom tickets to see them at the schnitz and it was amazing, I would love to win these tickets, Peter was always my favorite, I used to think he was the fun third of the group – my favorite song is the one about the toy… his noises in that song are great! Great giveaway PDXpipeline!!!

This is such a fabulous opportunity! I’ve listened to “Peter, Paul, and Mary” for years…and only later learned about Paul’s extensive work with children, and his efforts to shift the American educational system! Paul believes in educating the whole child: head, heart, and hands. As a Waldorf teacher, I so respect and resonate with Paul’s philosophy. Best known as a singer / songwriter, Paul is also an activist and philanthropist. Paul walks his talk, and uses his head, heart, and hands. He serves as a role model to others. I would greatly treasure the opportunity to see him perform live. Thank you! Thank you!

I grew up on this music… I also just got married. Twould make a great gift for my wife.
January 12, 2012 at 15:32
A chance to relive and expose my own to childhood awesomeness!!!!
January 12, 2012 at 15:36
My father’s birthday is coming up on January 27th. He is blind so music, especially the music of his youth, is very important to him. I know he would love to see this show.
January 12, 2012 at 15:57
Brings back many happy memories. Would love to attend this show. Thank you.
January 12, 2012 at 16:20
I really don’t want to go but my girlfriend does. If I took her to this show, maybe I will get some.
January 12, 2012 at 16:30
My friend had his acoustic guitar autographed by Mr Yarrow!! It’s the truth. It’s from the same time in my life when our band (the autographed guitar guy, me and another dude performing under the name The Phlounders “with a PH because we can”) warmed up for New Riders of the Purple Sage in San Francisco at the Last Day Saloon. These, and other untold stories, is why I deserve to go!!!
January 12, 2012 at 16:44
great show. would love to go.
January 12, 2012 at 17:37
pop-up puff??? that’s the raddest thing yet i’ve heard in the new year!!!
January 12, 2012 at 18:40
I love singing aloud with others. If I were a believer, I’d be in church every week, loud and proud. I’m not, so this is it.
On a side note: Does this guy ever age? He’s looked the same my whole life!
January 12, 2012 at 18:58
Peter is a gem and I would relish the chance to relive wonderful childhood memories and see him live again. Long live the child in each of us!
January 12, 2012 at 19:17
Excellent music!! I use to sing along with my family as a child!!!!
January 12, 2012 at 21:25
I love seeing Peter, Paul and Mary perform on PBS, and it would be great to see Peter in person.
January 12, 2012 at 21:43
I would really love to see Peter play– and singalong! I grew up with this music, played it at college, and have been trying to bring back some childhood memories through music therapy– Thanks!!
January 12, 2012 at 23:20
I’ve never seen Peter and would love to. I love the music of Peter, Paul and Mary!
January 12, 2012 at 23:31
If I had a Hammer,I’d Sing out Danger,I’d Sing out Love between my Brothers and my Sisters to see Peter. I loved PPM in the 60s on records & the radio and later on PBS specials. Appreciate the peace and social justice Peter has continued to do.
January 13, 2012 at 01:09
I’m from the 60′s so I was a PPM fan from the beginning. I saw them in concert in Syracuse, NY. Except for having to listen to their politics they were great. I’d love to listen to Peter again even if it is without the others, and hopefully without the politics. And of course he’s one of my hubby’s favorites also. Thanks for the opportunity to win tickets.

What better day than Monday, January 16th, Martin Luther King Jr., Day, to win tickets to see Peter Yarrow…Along with his singing partners, Paul and Mary, most of us remember that PPM participated in the Civil Rights Movement, which brought them to Washington in 1963 to sing for the historic march led by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as well as the equally historic Selma-Montgomery march in 1965. Thank you for this opportunity to see this icon and legend!!
January 13, 2012 at 11:22
I wanna go! And this song brought such a great quote: “Are you a pothead focker?”
January 13, 2012 at 12:42
Oh, this would be so exiting! And this time I would bring my grandson with me.
January 13, 2012 at 13:25
I grew up listening to Peter, Paul and Mary. We sang a lot of their songs at a Girl Scout camp that I worked at back when I lived in Wisconsin. I would really love to go, but sadly I recently lost my job and do not have the funds to attend.
January 13, 2012 at 14:17
I would love to be there. Peter Yarrow together with Laura Viers and the other marvelous performers will be a joy to see and hear and experience!
January 13, 2012 at 15:34
I would like to win because I’m old enough to know who Peter Yarrow is; and, oh yeah, I have always loved his music.
January 14, 2012 at 09:13
I have met Peter two times in my life. Once when he and the trio came to Madision Wisconsin to sing at Anti-war rally in 1969, and then about 8 years ago when I was traveling to Wisconsin to visit my parents. He was going to Milwaukee to present his anti-bullying message before the Wisconsin State Teachers Assoc. He invited my folks and I to be there. Mom had late stage Alzhiemers, but enjoyed his show immensely. Now I am retired and married to the love of my life. I would enjoy sharing Peter and his music with her.
January 14, 2012 at 19:06
It would be great to win tickets to see Peter. I’m a big fan of his music and it would be a great evening. I want to sing along with the group!
January 14, 2012 at 21:36
“somewhere under all of this stuff… Glass slipper, Alice’s mushroom, Peter’s shadow…”
… Are two tickets to see one part of one of the worlds greatest trio’s?
Yah?

(Read to the tune “Puff the Magic Dragon”)
Peter, the earnest troubadour,
lived his moral code;
and told us ways
how to behave –
improve each others’ lives.
His wit and winsome manner
delighted as did his sound
When ignorance met moral right,
He’d tell us what he’d found.
Oh – Peter, the earnest troubadour……..
A classy act as a performer and a person. Would love to see him perform live.
January 16, 2012 at 01:18

My very first concert was Peter, Paul & Mary – St. Louis, MO in the mid 60′, parents took me, I was around 10 years old! I saw them twice, years later…..have very fond memories of those wonderful songs, including parents trying to get my sister and me to sing Puff in a recording booth! I would absolutely love to see and hear Peter, again!!!
January 19, 2012 at 17:20
Just back from Iraq, want to see the “REAL” Portland.
January 19, 2012 at 18:20
I want to win tickets because I used to know the song puff the magic dragon on the ukulele when I was in grade school and I need him to show me how to play it again
January 19, 2012 at 18:46
Ok I’m reposting. Because I felt the urgent need to express my thanks for writing songs in my formative years that were whimsical fyn and actually easy to.play along with. On the ukele. My grade school music teacher was a big fan and taught me how to play puff the magic dragon on my first ukele. My earliest memory of playing music was in the 70s and I practiced everyday after school. That song Puff the magic dragon brings me back to early fond memories of childhood and I’d really like to meet Peter and thank him for the songs they performed and inspiring my teacher to want to share that knowledge so we could carry down a tradition. It’s really about me wanting to go and feel young again because lately I’m feeling depressed. My family is gone and this show would give me a boost in these dreary wintertime blues. Plus Id like to learn the song again…its been so ling since I’ve played it. kathylrankin@gmail.com
