Portland’s monthly First Thursday event is tonight! The weather looks PREFECT for this time of year, so thousands will surely be out there enjoying the festivities. There are over 50 (probably 100) galleries having openings this month, with most openings taking place in the Pearl district and Old Town/China Town. Most gallery openings begin at 5PM or 6PM and end at 9PM or 10PM.
We have a very large list below thanks to Sequential Art Gallery (328 NW Broadway). They compile an email called the “[h]IT LIST” of events every month. You can join it by emailing them @ sequentialart @ gmail dot com. We have reproduced much of it below with permission.

Sequential Art Gallery is excited to host Portland native Carolyn Main's first solo exhibition of her art, entitled ¬Å“Main Entrance¬Â. We gave Carolyn carte blanche over the gallery space, and this is what she came back to us with¬Â¦
The works presented will include varied renderings of couplings, both romantic and lewd, and a collection of prints. This will also be the premier of Carolyn's brand new pixel animation sequence, titled ¬Å“Burn it Down (extended 3 minute cut)¬Â.
Reception will be 6-10pm on First Thursday, February 2nd, with wine, beer, and snacks. You can also pick up a pair of the artist's Zombie blood splatter panties, just in time for Valentine's Day! Some content in this show may be considered ¬Å“mature¬Â.
