Our 2nd annual “Truly Romantic ” Valentine’s– and our DEBUT at our new home, The Hollywood Theater.
“If you gave me a million years to ponder, I would’ve never guessed that true romance and Detroit would ever go together.”
Ah, Valentines Day and her overblown ideas about love. Some feel chocolate and flowers are romantic. Others, champagne and violins. Here at Fleur de Lethal we think romance is best served with red lipstick, kung fu movies, comic books, honey bears, guns and telephone booths. Something leads us to believe many of you do too….
Penned by Quentin Tarantino and Directed by Tony Scott, TRUE ROMANCE stars Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette as Clarence and Alabama Worley. Our inimitable lovers are joined in this wickedly romantic piece of pop-pulp cinema by a dream ensemble cast that includes: Dennis Hopper, Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken and James Gandolfini ( to name a few ),
Because we are Fleur de Lethal a mere movie is simply not enough for this heart-filled day, SO, we invite you to dress as your favorite character from the film and win movie tickets, tattoos and other lovey dovey prizes..
Shake out your leopard print jacket, put on those baby blue wayfarers and turn up the Elvis. The only way to tell your baby “You’re so Cool” this Valentines Day is to take ‘em to (the) Hollywood for a little TRUE ROMANCE.

When I got fired last year, three weeks later I met my boyfriend and we bonded over our mutual admiration of Dennis Hopper. Seven months later, we’re totally in love, both unemployed, and working our way through a Breaking Bad marathon from the library. Get these lovebirds out of the house!
Because True Romance will get you LAID.
TRUE ROMANCE! I <3 the ironic combination! I'd love to be a WINNER!
Breaking bad? Love that show. Never been to the theater, moved to Portland recently and winning tickets would be a great welcoming to Portland, and maybe get me hooked!
How could you not mention Samuel L. Jackson. Let’s get these mutha f”"”in lovers to the m**** effing movie. I’m dating the least romantic, action-loving, taratino-quoting girl around. What better way to surprise her than with “true romance.” Pun intended. “I mean look at her. It looks like she fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.” Clarence
Love to win tickets for a free night out!
the question is, how did i miss the 1st annual showing of this???! EPIC!!

Life in Hollywood
This is my first Valentines in Portland. I can already feel the love.
Well I am not THAT clever…can I win anyway?
This is actually enough to make me wanna celebrate V Day!
I usually refuse to celebrate Valentine’s Day, but I can’t resist this. Most romantic pipeline prize EVER!
I’d rather celebrate VD in Portland with champagne and some strawberries than with an actual VD.
I’ve been looking for the PERFECT way to celebrate and this is definitely it. Please, please, please…pick me.
My g*d, my boyfriend would love this.
ALABAMA+CLARENCE
Great alternate to the dinner and flowers routine.
I just moved to Portland to be with my sweetie. I moved here from Seattle – for love – the best reason for any move. I loved “Romance and Cigarettes” that included a stellar performance by Christopher Walkin. I MUST take my baby to this film. It would be the perfect way to say “I love you!”
Pick me, pick me, please? This is in my top five favorite movies…I’m always forcing it upon those who somehow haven’t seen it. I am also horribly broke, and could use a little love/outing! Thanks!
Cant imagine a better night. Fingers crossed that im picked.
just to be clear: the chocolate on the strawberries doesn’t have nuts, right? my gal can’t afford another mouth patch…
How fun! In my five years of marriage my husband and I haven’t really celebrated Valentines. This could be a nice surprise. ;)
I’m meeting this fine boxer on a first date at an MMA gym and I think this would be the most fun and least romantic way to celebrate V Day!
My wife, Betty who is recovering from a hip replacement due to a fall caused by a clueless out-of-state driver, is on the mend! Today she said she is “agile again for the first time”, which means she can get out for Valentines – if only we could afford it…or win it. She loves Tarentino and the Hollywood Theater. Make her day!
Yes please!
My husband and I first fell in love a year ago. He is European and this is my favorite movie from when I was 19. I would love to show him true romance. We are both unemployed right now and can not afford movie tickets. This would be very romantic for us in our first year of marriage.
wow, I’d never heard of this movie before, but it looks kind of insane… my kind of movie
I love going to the Hollywood Theater and my girl friend likes romance, so I would love to win the package. Also, I owe her one after letting in a vacuum cleaner salesman to demo on our one and only house rug, followed up by a small group of Christmas presents I got for her that all bombed. This could get me back in her graces at least for a night and make us very happy.
My inflatable doll and I could use a night out.
I would love to win because I have a Valentine and would love to share this special event with her.
Oddly enough I’ve never seen this film, and what a perfectly quirky way to spend Valentines~ Tarantino style!! Love it!!
Oh please oh please oh please!
Oh yes please, love that film! My date would love this!
I was going to go to this anyway with my partner, it would be nice to treated the VIP experience, as we can can be casted as Tarantino Leading couple.
It’s been a rough year. My husband and I could really use a night on the town.
so the thing is i know a boy and this is his favorite movie, and since he is my favorite boy i think we are destined to win these tickets.
Hollywood Theater, champagne & strawberries, sig other, plus Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, et al? Sounds like a near-perfect Valentine’s Day to me.
My fiance’, Stephanie and I just got engaged a few days ago! We are really excited for the future and would love to attend! Sadly, however we do not have the money to attend this Valentine’s Day but we wish you the best performance possible. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Let your love for your friends, family, and your loved one show! -Brett Harper-
Quentin Tarantino and chocolates? Sounds like a date to me! Fantastico!
