Elevated Environment is super excited to see you out on the playground for the next installment of RECESS on Friday February 10th at the Whiskey Bar. Be sure not to procrastinate on your homework, because you wont want to miss Ill-Esha, Plumblyne, Cory-O, and HOOT keeping it fresh at this Recess.
Hailing from Vancouver, BC and now residing in San Francisco, CA, ill-esha burst onto the North American electronic scene as a soul vocalist featured on various releases for the likes of Breakbeat Science, Fokuz, and BluSaphir, gradually becoming known for the seamless incorporation of original vocals and MCing into DJ sets expressing her unique take on bass music.
Her multi-dimensional approach spans glitch hop, dubstep and downtempo, creating a dynamic live show which has set ill-esha apart amidst some of electronic music's most groundbreaking acts.
Hailing from the Pacific Rim, Jeremy Plumb finds his roots at the intersection of golden age hip hop culture and underground dance music. Originally from the SF bay, he’s been cutting his teeth in the NW underground for the last decade. A student of classical violin for 8 years, he’s now studying jazz/blues piano and minimalist neo classical work.
Co-founder of the Portland Producers Meet Up, Plumblyne has been producing electronic music since 1995. Other music projects include; The High Planes Drifters (poetry), Coyote Beat (live duo) and Peripheral AV band (live 5 piece intermedia). He has a forthcoming release on Street Ritual Records and is currently working on an AV piece in collaboration with a slew of other performance artists.

1. I recently moved here from San Francisco, where I used to see Ill-esha regularly. This would be a way to bridge the gap between Portland and SF.

I love Illesha, and been looking forward to this show! But had to have emergency mouth surgery on Wednesday :( so I am totally broke. Would be so stoked to win tickets!!!
