Why do I want tickets? So I can act like a d-bag with everyone else! And I have an amazing rack, so, you do the math ;)
February 13, 2012 at 12:35
This would be perfect for me & the wife. We can bring some legit Southern charm to the proceedings. But, y’know… in a good way. :)
February 13, 2012 at 12:39
I’d love to go get drunk in public instead of staying home and flashing the mirror and throwing beads at myself. ;D
February 13, 2012 at 13:12
Me and my roommates need a good night out with a sweaty, flashy, beaded, beaked, drunky, funky, feathered, loud crowd. We love dance and debauchery.
February 13, 2012 at 13:14
Hey! Tomorrow will be Tuesday… I’m fat… and I neeeed some of that deeeeelicious N’Orleans food that they are going to serve at Mardi Gras!! Pick me! Pick me!! ;-))
February 13, 2012 at 13:16
Why wouldn’t I want to go to this party!? Plus, I have a bunch of beads that need good homes. :)
February 13, 2012 at 13:38
I’d love to go…bedazzled and feathered, naturally. Cheers!
February 13, 2012 at 14:48
Because I’m a Louisiana native who lives in Portland and I miss New Orleans terribly! There is no where else in the States that has so much charm and soulfulness. I hope to share my love of New Orleans traditions with a community of people who appreciate the city as much as I do, mon chere!
February 13, 2012 at 15:53
I’ve never been to a Mardi Gras party…I feel as though I’m missing out on some classy, top-notch debauchery!
February 13, 2012 at 16:50
I was all ready to go but got caught by some financial issues and can’t afford to go now. The hubby and I were looking forward to this so much. If we can’t be in New Orleans with family, this would be the next best thing.
February 13, 2012 at 19:22
Tatas, Cans, Jugs, bazongas, hooters, and anything else wholesome that portland with flash at me. Alas even on mardi gras, fat tuesday I’ll take fat chicks. Also this is probably the most crass thing I’ve ever said and I love cajun food
February 13, 2012 at 19:29
Cuz.
February 13, 2012 at 21:46
I am a NY native who is coming to Portland for the first time Friday-Sunday and would love to see how PDX celebrates Mardi Gras, and to get to spend some time with some very fun residents of the city.
February 13, 2012 at 22:34
i want those tickets! reasons why: i like beer, i like whiskey, i like new orleans, i wanna get drunk and party! i’ll bring a hot date!
February 13, 2012 at 23:48
I’ve never been to a mardi gras party, I would love to go!!
February 14, 2012 at 00:52
I really want to see my distant cousin perform and have a night out with my husband, something we have not been able to do lately. I am ready to party in Portland!!
February 14, 2012 at 08:46
Please choose me! I’m a veteran of debauchery, and I need to be where it’s encouraged! I haven’t been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras since about 1986… and my tan lines haven’t been the same since! Thank you!!!
February 14, 2012 at 11:03
I would love to win tickets to this party. Considering I lived through a fat tuesday riot in Philadelphia in 2000, I think a non-rioting group party would be lovely.
February 14, 2012 at 11:55
As a Louisiana ex-pat, attending this party would likely mean getting to meet others from my home state which is like my FAVORITE thing. I just wanna call people cher and couillon and have them know what the heck I’m talking about.
Meeting non-LA natives is just as cool, since they tend to think we’re charming, or something.
Plus, maybe there will be some boudin on the buffet table. Aiiiyeee!
*Also, I have lots of beads just collecting dust and I need a reason to wear them with a fancy dress and mask*
February 14, 2012 at 15:06
I would like to win because it would give me a taste of home that I haven’t had in many many years.
February 14, 2012 at 17:06
I have a hot date and a huge feathered fancy mask with wild costumes to match. We will rock the night away and bring magical enthusiasm to this ruckus party. I have heard nothing but good things and would love to tke part.
February 14, 2012 at 19:36
I have never celebrated Mardi Gras, but I am ready to get crazy! I have no money for tickets, but I am dying to make some bad decisions!
February 14, 2012 at 20:59
because…it’s my birthday!!! and what better way to enter a new decade than dancing in sequence behind a feathered mask…
February 15, 2012 at 00:14
Food, drink and a ride home… All that is missing is my winning tickets! Pick me so I can live like a debacherous girl from New Orleans.
February 15, 2012 at 07:44
I want to come and paint on people adding flash and bling to this crazy fun evening. Yep, with my masks you can dance all night in comfort and unique creative class. I do bodies so let your imagination go wild. Great entertainment. Let me paint the bands too! So fun! I can paint people ahead of time also! ubpainted.com

Je desire de dancer avec ma femme jusqua les alligators venez a la maison. Faissez Bon Temps Roulet !
February 15, 2012 at 08:35
Because my wife and I love the Big Easy but for as many times as we’ve been, we have never gotten MG! We’re connected with civil rights organizations there, wanted to bring supplies and medicine (wife is a Dr.) in 2005 (if it wasn’t for those damn road blocks), and know it is the people, not the booze, that make the Crescent City a unique gem. Plus, we’re broke!
February 15, 2012 at 09:03
I’ve never been to a Mardi Gras party before. Please please please pick me!
February 15, 2012 at 10:37
I would like to attend the Mardi Gras Ball because my wife and I enjoy making elaborate costumes. We usually only get to do this around Halloween, so please give us an excuse to put our skills to use!!!!
February 15, 2012 at 11:04
Leather & Lace
and Mardi Gras Face
This Cat craves and needs
Can cans and beads
To drink and eat
to a Cajun beat
sounds delicious and fun
So tell me I’ve won !
February 15, 2012 at 13:04
This looks like a total fun fest! I have never been to Mardi Gras before, but with my Sister and Cousin living there and attending, it definately is something to experience..even in Portlandia! I’ll bring beads, and I’ve earned my share before. Pick me as “Queen” cause I’ll be dressed in a pink kitty coustume..meow!! Keep Portland weird!!! Pick me!!! Pick me!
February 15, 2012 at 14:06
Because it’s Mardi Gras!!! Sounds like a good time to me! :)
February 15, 2012 at 15:03
Well I moved from Louisiana 12 years ago and haven’t been to a Mardi Gras since. Would like to debauch with others who won’t say “like Matt LeBlanK? ” when they hear my full name.
I wanna scream THROW ME SOMETHING MISTER in context and eat some tastes of home.
Plus i love dressing up in my favorite colors.
And Steve Kerrin is from my hometown! Maybe he’s jammed with one of my uncles or my grandpa
February 15, 2012 at 15:35
i’d love to win cause it’s my birthday today, woot! and i’m saving all my celebrating for this weekend! but i’ll also be happy if loly leblanc^ wins cause she’s magic.
February 15, 2012 at 18:02
A chance to go to a Mardi Gras Ball would make my mask and boa happy! They’ve been waiting years for me to give them a good dusting and a night out on the town! Also, the beads I have now are longing for more company. ;) Cheers!
February 15, 2012 at 19:10
Wow! LOVE my husband! He already, unknown to me, entered in French! Rien, quel bon homme il est !
We are native Oregonians as well as native to Portland. He is a musician, who has been fortunate enough to know a FABULOUS player of the squeeze box for decades, who also ended up in a headlining band.We LOVE the music, the people, the energy and purpose…yet like many, economics impeded an easy decisions. We would welcome the the gift but understand others may be more in need and worthy.
Bénissez tous au carnaval!
February 15, 2012 at 19:11
Gotta love Tom!
Je desire de dancer avec ma femme jusqua les alligators venez a la maison. Faissez Bon Temps Roulet !
February 15, 2012 at 19:41

February 16, 2012 at 03:18
This looks like so much fun. I can’t wait to go.
February 16, 2012 at 10:07

February 16, 2012 at 11:53
sounds like a blast!!! hook me up with tickets please!!!
February 16, 2012 at 11:54
OMG…this sounds like a blast, in the past we have gone to Concept Entertainment Groups events, however the last few years we have been disappointed…this party looks like a winner…I’ll be putting on my best mask, and Fat Tuesday appropriate outfit, and bringing lots of beads to give out…and hopefully will earn some too!
A la votre
February 16, 2012 at 12:00
Was just in New Orleans for the first mardi gras parade. Would love to see how this compares to Buorbon street. Haven’t really seen anything that compares in portland yet.
February 16, 2012 at 13:55
OMGawd! I want to win these ticket so badly!!!
I MADE my own really AWESOME Mardi Gras masks back in December for a Mardi Gras theme masquerade part for New Year’s eve. I made a pair of them for my swweheart and myself! They are made out of leather and extraordinary ornate with feathers and bedazzled to the hilt!
I love Mardi Gras and my sweetheart and I are available to attend that evening. Yaaaa, this is the last chance to party like a big dog before lent. And I’ve got the most awesome masks and a great costume —–So Pick Me! PICK ME!!!!! Please….. PLEASE…. PLEASE!!!!
THANKS!
Amy

What an awesome way to celebrate fat Tuesday, but on Saturday! No work the next day!
February 16, 2012 at 14:42
This sounds like it would be such a great time! I am 24 and have always had to work on Mardi Gras and have never had the opportunity to celebrate in a real way. It would be such a great farewell to Portland to party like this.
February 16, 2012 at 15:01
I need a break. I’ve been staying in the hospital taking care of my dad the last 10 days. I could use the fun! I love Mardi Gras!
February 16, 2012 at 16:21
Pick me! I am the biggest Mardi partier ever! I have done Mardi parties at my house for the past five years and I really want to see what a real one would look like!!!
February 16, 2012 at 16:47
Just got back to PDX, it’s all grey and rainy. A little Mardi Gras might cheer things up a bit!
February 16, 2012 at 17:11
hmm, haven’t been to a mardi gras party ever. Had two deaths and a cancer in the last week, plus my so-called friends bailed on me for a big get together… I need a fun, crazy, nothing is off limits kind of night! :]

Hello ya’ll, I would just like to say that I have been celebrating Mardi Gras in Louisiana the last 10 years. I just recently moved back to the beautiful northwest. I am missing this time of year in New Orleans, though. I hear Portland’s Mardi Gras ball is the next best thing…..I have a ton of beads and boas I would love to be able to use this year!:)….thanks for reading!
February 16, 2012 at 19:48
I would love to go! I love Mardi Gras.
February 16, 2012 at 20:15
I must confess now! I am giving up drinking on tuesdays…think about celebrating mardi gras on tues with no booze? I need to attend out of sheer physical reasons. Help!!!
February 16, 2012 at 20:30
I should win so I can take my friend who just got back to Portland from a failed marriage from overseas and the last time we saw each other was at the real Mardi Gras a few years back. Nothing celebrates divorce like a night full of debatury!
February 16, 2012 at 20:59
Lets get it on…… :) Yay for MaRdI gRaS
February 16, 2012 at 21:41

It is my destiny to attend this event. The stars have aligned!
February 17, 2012 at 05:24

February 17, 2012 at 08:36
I would abso-freaking-lutely adore this experience because I need to CUT LOOSE–and so does my baby. My man, that is—not a real baby–that would be weird. :)
February 17, 2012 at 11:00
What better way to get rid of my excess medical marijuana!! Get feathered and liquored up and spend the evening spreading the love and intoxicants!
February 17, 2012 at 12:56
I would love to win this just because….well who wouldn’t want to go to the ball…call me Cinderella!
February 17, 2012 at 13:11
I got beads. I got my sequined shirt cleaned and my feather boa ready to go. Pimp dady here I cum. A pair of tickets will actually get me a smokin’ hot date…too.
February 17, 2012 at 13:14
Because my boyfriend just got out of a 22 yr marriage and has never done anything like this before so lets show him what he’s been missing!
February 17, 2012 at 21:04
I’m ready to earn some beads and dance like a fool!
