Watch Portland Trail Blazers vs Washington Wizards: Preview, Food & Drink Specials

Today is Oregon’s Birthday and also Valentine’s Day. What better way to celebrate than a Trail Blazers victory over the always terrible Washington Wizards? This is the first game of Blazers back-to-back-to-back, and they should put this one away early and rest Aldridge and the old-timers.

Preview - Portland Trail Blazers vs Washington Wizards:

By Cain Stoneking

Washington Wizards (6-22) vs. Portland Trailblazers (15-13)
Tuesday, February 14th, 7:00pm CSNW

Game Notes: Panic mode has set in on the Blazers following another road loss. This one went into double overtime and the Blazers couldn’t get it done. Their guards shot 13 - 50 in the game. Raymond Felton can’t seem to get it going and it has really cost the Blazers. Felton has the worst PER in the NBA for how many minutes he plays and it is really hurting the Blazers down the stretch of games. The Blazers had two days off to try and fix some of these areas. It will also help that their next game tonight is against the Washington Wizards.

Washington has won exactly one game against a team with more than nine wins. They turn the ball over a lot and are inefficient on offense to an extreme. They like to run but aren’t very good at it and they don’t play defense. There isn’t much to say except that this team is bad.

The Wizards:

Starting Lineup: John Wall, Nick Young, JaVale McGee, Trevor Booker, Chris Singleton
Bench: Rashard Lewis, Jordon Crawford, Kevin Seraphin, Jan Vesely, Shelvin Mack

X’s and O’s:

The Blazers would have to try to lose this game. There is no way this shouldn’t be a blowout. The Blazers are rested and ready for this while the Wizards are on a long West Coast road trip. The Blazers are more talented at almost every position and have an exponentially better bench. It would be nice to see the guards hit more shots and play within the flow of the game. As long as they rebound and take care of the ball, the Blazers will win this one handily.

Advantage Blazers:

The Blazers have some quality players coming off the bench that can help turn games around or can push leads with heavy runs. As for the Wizards, well, most casual NBA fans probably can’t name more than one player that comes off the Bench for the Wiz. To be honest almost every player will have an advantage and that is why this should be a blowout game.

Last Words:

The first game of their second back-to-back-to-back this season should be an easy one for the Blazers. Hopefully this game is over around sometime near the third quarter and the Blazers can rest their starters for Golden State tomorrow and the Clippers on Thursday.

Games this week:
@ Golden State – 15th
Los Angeles Clippers – 16th
