80s Video Dance Attack is turning 7 years old and throwing a party! On Friday April 6th, Portland’s best dance party will take over the Crystal Ballroom with enhanced production and lots of special surprises for fans in celebration of its 7th anniversary.
VJ Kittyrox will be playing all the hits from MTV’s greatest era in front of giant video projection screens with a packed house clad in their finest 80s garb. Come out and experience the unique flashback experience that is 80s Video Dance Attack!

I’ve been going to 80s Video Dance Attack events for a little over a year now and I LOVE it. New Years Eve 2010 was my first time and I was instantly hooked!! I love dressing up in 80s outfits and dancing like a fool with my girlfriends. I’m already working on my next 80s oufit for the anniversary party!! :)
Im SO EXCITED!!! And I just cant hide it. Last dance attack party I went to was Halloween, and since then i’ve been working on my 80′s outfit. And I am ready to dance like a maniac ALLL NIGHT LOOOONNNNGGGG! I need to go!!!
This is, hands down, the most fun event in Portland on Friday nights. It only takes once bringing a friend before they are hooked. Being unemployed, I can’t always attend but I try to make sure I have that $5 left over at the end of the week to go.

My friend has been trying to get me to go to an 80s Video Dance Attack for a few months now. For many reasons I have been unable to go. I’d love to win some tickets, because then that would eliminate all possible excuses.
The 80s is my decade – jr, high, sr high & college. Every top 40 song has a memory (usually of a boy) attached to it. The only problem if I win is that I may not be able to restrain myself from singing all the songs . . .

Dance is the therapy for my souls….especially 80′s and Lola’s and lord knows right now I need a release after losing my and and dad in the same week. There is something about the free spirit grooves of the 80′s that takes me to a happy place filled with unicorns, rainbows and candy!! There is no escape from trouble of your heart than some hard hitting 80′s tunes and working up a sweat. This would be a blessing to have a night to let everything go and free my mind!

I’d really love to win tickets to 80′s vda because it’s been over a year since I’ve been able to go. I breath the 80′s. I have an addiction to big hair, too much hair spray, and bright tacky coloured outfits. I don’t get out often at all, and 80′s vda would be like a release from the confines of drudgery. I miss being able to feel the horrible kind of pretty the 80′s tends to produce, and I miss vogue-ing. If I won tickets, I’m full prepared to layer on the bright blue eye shadow, and rock a crimped side pony, and enforce the dress code on any one else I’d love to bring. The 80′s are my heart and soul, and I’ve gone much too long without enjoying to music, the dress, and being around anyone else that lives it like I do.
