Always a fun zoo tradition, the Wednesday concerts are being expanded into ¬Å“Sunset at the Zoo¬Â events, providing a festival atmosphere for friends and family, with live music from local artists, regional food, beer and wine, fun activities for all ages and the chance to get to know animals that are active during twilight hours. Zoo members at the Plus level or above are guaranteed free entry into the event; all other visitors can purchase event tickets at the gate at prices equal to regular zoo admission.
Each show begins at 7 p.m. and concert tickets allow entry into the zoo after 4 p.m. Concertgoers who come early can learn about animal species from around the world at more than 20 exhibits, including the zoo's renowned Asian elephant habitat, home to famous, 50-year-old Packy.
