California 90420 is a new documentary film from New Coast Productions and Catchphrase Entertainment. The film chronicles the life of several of California's ¬Å“420-somethings¬Â including a 21 year-old pixie-like party girl named Ix, mother and cancer patient Amber, and Dale Sky Clare, an educator and activist behind the 2010 Prop 19 campaign in California. Digging deep into California's pot culture, California 90420 is not the usual political screed with the same old oft-repeated facts about hemp and marijuana that viewers are used to seeing. Rather it is a thoughtful document about a growing American sub-culture.
The release of CALIFORNIA 90420 could not be timelier. On April 2, federal agents from the DEA and IRS raided Oaksterdam University as well as the home of Oaksterdam University Founder, Richard Lee. Although medical marijuana is legal in California, it is still prohibited under federal law, leaving Oaksterdam in a precarious legal limbo. With Oaksterdam University now the subject of intense media scrutiny, CALIFORNIA 90420 offers viewers a unique, unfiltered perspective into what really takes place behind the doors of the school.
“Possibly the most honest marijuana film out there, CALIFORNIA 90420 gets right up in the business: medical patients, big-scale grows, Oaksterdam U, and the legalize movement…” – SF INDIE FEST

Im very interested in this from a research standpoint.
I am interested in California marijuana laws! I have a passion for pot
Believe it or not, I just don’t have anything else to do.
Ooo pick me.
Hey guys, my name is Dean, I’m the director. I really hope you like the film, please know the focus of this film is not on information or politics, but it is to show the journeys lives of people in the world of weed in California 90420. We felt there are other great docs and websites to get the facts and histroy, this film is more about the journeys and a look at the lives of a few characters. Please know, none are meant to be poster children or stereotypes. But hopefully the experience will lead to lively discussion and research. Feel free to get ahold of me through http://www.90420.com Much Love. -Dean
Sounds interesting…. there are so many “characters” is this world!
Sounds like a good flick!
I want to go because it’d be a a fun trip down memory lane and possible way to catch up with old friends. Legalize it. Oregon Cannabis Tax Act. If it’s good enough for Willie Nelson, it’s good enough for me and you.
I recently moved to Portland from the San Francisco bay area, and I miss California very much. We had the dankest greens and best beaches. *sigh* Watching this will bring tears, as well as smiles.
I like documentaries and my girl friend likes movies about characters, so this movie could solve the mystery of what we are doing this Saturday night. Would love to see it!
you know who else likes lasagna? oh, wrong movie…
i just got my ommp card and have been on a big pot kick, this would be just to cool
I’d love to learn my girlfriend a thing or two….
I want to find out if my friend’s dad is in this movie.
