Second in this year’s Brewers’ Series at Brasserie M, the Brasserie is partnering with another amazing local craft brewery, Upright Brewing, for a four-course beer dinner. An intimate mingling of guests will feast on four hearty family-style dishes designed by executive chef (and yes, gotta brag, Keller protege) Michael Hanaghan, pairing perfectly with some of Upright Brewery’s distinctive brews.
You’ll hear from the Brew Master, who’ll talk brew, detailing the brewing process, and about the brewery’s craft brew program. And of course, you couldn’t peel away Chef Michael from gabbing about the food.

I have never been to a food and drink paired dinner and this sounds amazing. On top of that, my boyfriend is getting over a wicked illness and I’d love to be able to treat him to this!
I would love to win the tickets because my fiancé and I could use a nice loving night out just the 2 of us. We have 3 kids ages 3 1/2 20 months and 3 months. We are always busy and haven’t made time for us. This would be perfect to surpise him with.

Aside from that, we’re big fans of Upright’s farmhouse style ales and the Brasserie as well. We haven’t been back since they stopped the nightly jazz music, but I would love to see what they’re cooking up to pair with Upright’s beer.

This has been my favorite restaurant since I was a kid. I have fond memories of drawing on the paper tablecloths and love, love, love the new atmosphere and jazz music. This would be a very romantic and satisfying way to spend time with the man I love.

I’ve wanted to try Brasserie Montmartre for so long but there’s no way I could afford it and Upright is my favorite American Farmhouse ale producer! I need these tickets! I LOVE Upright brewing, especially #4. I go way far out of my way to get that beer at Uprights whacky houred brewery. Would LOVE to enjoy it with some worth food!!
So this week my boyfriend’s cat, Maxwell, passed away after a 6 month battle with cancer. He had been a best friend, a loyal companion, a surprisingly smart food snatcher, and the best mouse and bug killer around. Holy crap, this sounds awesome! I love the Upright beers as well as French food, so that in and of itself is a great pairing!
I work in the Leftbank and go down to Upright at least once a week. They’re my favorite Portland brewery. Alex, the owner, is the nicest guy. I used to work near Brasserie and go there often for lunch, so this would be a perfect match of old and new favorites!

I do not profess to know anything about upright brewing. That being said beer has shaped civilizations. It like bread and it is life. All beer is good to someone. Food is more than just sustenance to keep our bodies going. It feelings and memories, it brings friends and family together. It creates bonds between people who may not have had anything else in common. The kitchen is always to most popular gathering place at parties because that is where the beer and food are.
I want to win to have the ability to gather with my friends around a table forming a bond of shared experience. I would love for this night to be the catalyst that brings us all together.
