TCOR Radio is set to launch the 1st Annual May MetalFest to support local Oregon metal bands from all over the State. Five venues over five nights with twenty unsigned metal bands split between each show. The event was created to honor the local metal music scene and rebuild a genre in Portland that has produced many successful acts, events, and venues for over four decades.
TCOR Radio has brought aboard Alameda Brewing Company, Forbidden Body Art, Willamette Week, Razor’s Edge Screen Printing, Kolor-Werx, Victory Records, and Fireball Whisky as official sponsors of the 1st Annual May MetalFest in 2012. Each sponsor realizing the potential of an event that not only supports local metal music, but local business as well.
$7 advance tickets will go on-sale March 26, 2012 at Safeway/TicketsWest locations for the ALL-AGES MMF #4 show at Bossanova Ballroom on Friday, May 25. Doors at the All-Ages 5/25 show will be $8.
