Join 9 Portland wineries on Saturday from 2 pm – 5 pm. $25 admission includes a tasting of up to 25 wines and light appetizers. Roll Chocolates and Portland Creamery will also be there with some delicious samples.

I’ve been wanting to check out Hip Chicks for a while now. And I’m still in the process of learning about and trying the wines here on the west coast…what better way than this?
This isn’t about why I should want to go to Hip Chicks (I do), it’s why Hip Chicks should want me to go there (and they should). I should get a pass because I am the perfect hip chick demographic, aside from the obvious name puns, I bring a fun, exciting energy and people wherever I go. Aside from that, I have no problem talking up places, food and drinks I appreciate and want others to appreciate as well. Dazzle me and I will become a virtually free network supporter.

We moved into the Portland metro In January from The Bay area In California and have been using the weekends to learn about Oregon’s Pinot production. We are very interested in the PDX Urban Winery model and look forward to comparing Portland’s pinots to some of the Willamette Valley blends.
I love Hip Chicks! A friend from AZ told me about them and I’ve been following them since. She even came to visit with her mom and made sure to stop at HCDW. We picked which Chick we would most likely be:) This will be so much fun!

9 Urban Portland Wineries! What other town can boast of such a beautiful thing……AND they will all be assembled June 9th, so that their wines can be tasted. It would be such a great learning experience to compare and taste the wines generated in Portland next to one another, to really see the beauty created because of the soil, the environment and the smarts of the winemakers. I would like to conduct a social psychology observational experiment in regards to the development of relations between males and females when large amounts of wine are consumed within a social setting. Of course, I will need to partipate in order to accurately describe the phisiological side effects of the experiment.

Because, really I am that cute drunk girl. Ya know the one you will talk about later, wonder why you didn’t take home, or why I didn’t originally create my own youtube home drunk cooking show. While snuffy people describe the wine they are tasting with strange all knowing phrases like… hmmm smells of old leather, resin and vanilla, ahhhh this port reminds me of hydrogen sulfide… I will be that girl tripping over my heels and pulling my self up cool as a cucumber and collected pulling that pack of smokes out of my cleavage and lighting up while getting my wine on. Really what is a good wine tasting party with out a girl like me around to liven up the party! :)

I used to work with this winery for a brief time when we were carrying their wines at my hotel that I worked at. They were extremely nice people, and I never made it out to check out there spot. This would be a great and fun day out. They have delicious wines, and the funkiest labels on their bottles. I hope I get to win this one for sure!
