My fiance and I just moved here a few months ago and I will be leaving the weekend of the Int’l Beer Fest to do a 5,000 mile motorcycle adventure with my Dad. I know my fiance is a little jealous (to say the least) and winning him these tickets might soften the blow. I have always wanted to go to a beerfest. I would love to taste some great beers I’ve never heard of. I have lived in Oregon for a year and feel that I haven’t gotten to see as much of Portland as I would like too. I am unable to afford tickets on my own. I would totally appreciate these tickets. I volunteer at the beer fests all over Portland because I love beer and festivals but have a very limited budget. I have for three years in a row tried to get a coveted Portland International Beerfest volunteer position but those choice spots are hard to come by since most vollies return year after year. Please help me get to the PIB this year. Once there I can booze & shmooze & next year I’ll be pouring your beer.

I would love to attend the beerfest because I’m not much of a beer drinker and I would really like to branch out and try something new. My boyfriend loves beer and I think it would be quite the experience for us to share this great Portland event together this year.
Because I’ve been looking for a hotel in Portland for the night of July 20th and everything cheap is sold out and I need a good excuse to pay extra to stay in close.
This would be the perfect festival to attend before I have to return to Grand Rapids, the number 2 beer city in the US on Saturday.

I need these tickets because I have a disease. Its outcome is unknown and there is no cure or medications that can help, except for beer. The disease I have is alcoholism! This is the alternative to the crowded Portland Brewer’s Fest on the water front. If you don’t like the crowds then the International Brew Fest is for you. This is an annual tradition for my friends and I.
