Smart, fast, and bust-a-gut funny, Master Pancake Theater’s comedy (think MST3K mixed with Beavis and Butthead) has lead to years of sold out shows at the legendary Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas. The members of Master Pancake provide live comedy along with the movie, as well as hilarious skits and competitions. Now they’re headed to Portland’s Cinema 21 for a live skewering of the Pacific Northwest’s greatest contribution to cinema, TWILIGHT!
This Lost Boys rehash about a teenager who moves to a small town in the Pacific Northwest and falls in with the vampire crowd features Kristen Stewart as the new kid in town, and Robert Pattinson as the centuries-old kid in town. Kidding aside, the acting is surprisingly good: Stewart is masterful at her one facial expression, and Pattinson has perfected the pale dead-guy mystique that he honed as Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter series. And if you thought you’d seen every vampires-playing-baseball cliché in the book, just wait ’til you see how director Catherine Hardwicke breathes new life into that tired set piece.
Come out to Cinema 21 and let the bloodletting begin as Master Pancake sucks the life out of this preposterously ghastly modern teen “classic”!

This would be the best Friday evening activity ever.
I went to this the last time MP was here. It was great!
Interactive theater with lighthearted bashing of Twilight?! YES PLEASE.
Ive never seen Twilight, and winning free tickets is the only way I’m gonna.
Although my wife loves the twilight series, I have not seen any of the movies. To see a great movie with live acting would be great, especially because I am so unknowledgeable about this series. I also plan on being a middle school teacher. This is why I think it would not only be entertaining but also educational for me to learn more about young adult literature! Tickets? I would love them.
I’m new to Portland this sounds awesome!
Kinda one of the biggest adult fans of the series in town…seriously….yet able to poke fun at it! Cause I mean? Really? Sparkles?!??
I would love to go and treat my bf who has graciously supported this obsession.
Can haz sparkly souls?
This sounds hilarious!
I WANT TO ATTEND!!!
I want to go because this is the only way I will ever watch twilight, ever!
I want to go!
I *love* snarking at bad movies, this would be an awesome Friday or Saturday night adventure! :-)
This sounds like so much fun..recently went through a breakup and could use a laugh!
That movie is VERY deserving of some comical, bashing commentary and I know the pros can do a better job than I could. :) This would make for an awesome night!
If only they put this together before the show came out to save the world from the insanity of yet another show made solely for emotional young girls.
I have been forced to watch this movie before when I was the ONLY one making snarky commentary, and kept getting hit for it. Please help right this karmic mishap.
I hate vampire movies, but I LOVE funny vampire movies.
i’ve not seen twilight, but if i’m gonna, this sounds like the way to do it!
I’d like to go because I actually had to endure living in Forks for a year of my life and I haven’t gotten anything out of it yet…
I saw it when the film came out and I was the adult chaperone to a bunch of teenagers. I’d was the only one in my row to be laughing at the ‘serious’ scenes. All the teens I was with would look at my funny. I’d love to see this with live comedy!
i would LOVE to see this. I usually like to make my own commentary during ridic movies like this, I can only imagine what tonight will be like!
My husband is a New Zealander and has just arrived in the USA. Along with introducing him to Portlandia, I would love to give him a taste of Portland by taking him to this event! Thanks for the opportunity to win free tickets!
Bring it!!! Taunting bad acting is an art!
Help help! We need to go and make fun of Twilight!
If I win I’ll bring my cat.
“Are you afraid?” “No.” “Then let’s dance!”
Pick me!!!!!
