I would like to win because I need to improve my beer knowledge. I moved here from Seattle this past fall. Once, while I was out at a bar with friends from school, I asked if beer is a big deal in Portland. They all looked at me like I had asked the stupidest question in the world.

I really really want to go to beer fest because I love beer! I wish I could go to the one next week to but I am running a triathlon and can’t! I love beer but with 2 kids & a ton of bills couldn’t afford it any other way. It is the best beer festival in a city that loves beer like no other. There are so many fantastic domestic & Belgian beer which are next to impossible to try anywhere else. I want to go! I want to go! Don’t pick me if it is 21+. (kids – not me!)

Any beer consumer would LOVE to receive free entry into this wonderful festival. It’s not only a palate pleasure, but it really tugs at the heartstrings! I LOVE Pets! And this is one of the few events that incorporate 2 of my favorite things: BEER & PETS! As a visitor to Portland all week coming from Philadelphia, I have loved everything about this unique city. I am on a tight budget and hesitate to buy tickets for money reasons. However, I would love to go and get a full glimpse of the local beer culture I have heard so much about and worked to experience all week. It would also be a great way to cap off my trip before I head home back to reality.
