All my friends are going and I don’t have a ticket. It’s not in my budget this month. Maybe I’ll win some!

  2. Lesley September 18, 2012 at 14:10 #

Because I’m becoming a little obsessed with Matt Fraction thanks to the Hawkeye comics.

  3. Kyle A September 18, 2012 at 15:34 #

Because I have to come out to my date as a professional nerd and I’d rather do it in a safe space. If the evening doesn’t go well I’ll have more money to spend on whiskey.

Long live the bards! This sounds fantastic, and needed.. as in, my soul needs this, or something. Both my boyfriend and I are writers. Well, we’d like to think we are, but we have that whole “…” syndrome happening to us (it’s terrible, don’t even ask) and we need some inspiration. Also, laughs. Also, raised spirits. Also, pretty please, with however many cherries you like of organic or non-organic origins.

As a sorta-geek on the nerd- fringe, and frequent NPR and TWIT listener, I am demographically destined to derive delight from these stories.

    ♥ I don’t know anything about it, but I’d like to ♥

  7. Carly September 19, 2012 at 13:11 #

This sounds like an awesome evening of laughter and laughter-induced tears. I’m there with my #nerd.

  8. Cheryl September 20, 2012 at 12:27 #

I would love to continue my nerd education!

  9. Sarah September 20, 2012 at 15:10 #

Back Fence PDX: Better than Moth Radio.

Who wouldn’t want to attend the “Hashtag Nerd” event? I’m sure this show will quickly sell out (as have the previous 5 shows) and as somebody who loves going, but doesn’t have the cash money at the moment to go, I would love to win free tickets to listen, watch, and support some great local artists!

  10. Jen September 20, 2012 at 15:12 #

Nothing brings people together better than a good story, and I’d love to show a friend how fun this can be!

  11. Gina Acharjya September 20, 2012 at 15:15 #

Because that would just be awesome :-)

  12. Erika September 20, 2012 at 15:17 #

I’m a little nerdy – in a “I teach math and love science” sort of way. He’s nerdy in the comic book, movie quoting, video game playing, “my cat is my child,” kind of way. I can’t think of anything much better than hanging out in our favorite city and exploring the depths of our nerdiness – as well as some good storytelling – on one of our very few nights off together.

  13. Amy September 20, 2012 at 15:32 #

I haven’t seen a Back Fence production since my first year in PDX, too many years ago. I’d love to go.

  14. Jamie September 20, 2012 at 15:34 #

  15. Kait September 20, 2012 at 15:59 #

I love stories! I also love Lindy West. I’ve been reading her on Jezebel for some time now. I would love to hear her clever, pointed observations live.

  16. Tay September 20, 2012 at 16:23 #

To give them to my friend who is going for her BIRTHDAY! and invited all of us along too :)

  17. Zach September 20, 2012 at 16:35 #

What kind of nerd are we talking about here? Battlestar Galactica nerd or Magic: The Gathering nerd? I can dig both.

  18. Carol September 20, 2012 at 16:44 #

Such a true Portland event. Would love to experience it.

  22. Charlie September 20, 2012 at 18:29 #

This quasi-quarterly event is entertainment at it’s visceral best. …The upside of juicy gossip without the usually-resulting scandal. Bottom line: It’s a hoot… especially after downing a couple of McMeniman’s draughts!

  23. Zach H September 20, 2012 at 19:31 #

If I win tickets my mother will be so pleased that I’m leaving the house and consorting with adults instead of playing my level 60 Monk on Diablo 3.

    Add me! #hyacinthe

  24. Stephen September 20, 2012 at 19:33 #

I need something to do before Bioshock Unlimited comes out next month.

  25. Zachary September 20, 2012 at 19:40 #

If I win these tickets my Mom will be so happy I’m hanging out with people in real life and not with my level 60 Monk on Diablo 3!

  26. Edwin September 20, 2012 at 21:24 #

I’d love to get tickets for this show because I’m really interested in checking out portland’s storytelling scene. And as someone going back to school on Monday, I could use the little extra bit of financial help!
