The Ice Cream and Hot Sauce Takedown is trundling through your town and threatens to ruin your life (because after this, what could possibly be as rad? Nothing. Nothing!!!!)!

Come to The Goodfoot to feast, melt and scream over a variety of local, hot homemade hot sauces! And then… enjoy the perfect salve: a whole ton of homemade ice creams (there’s a science to this: the coldness, sugariness and base-ness of ice cream will cool your involuntary capsicum crying…).

Finally, VOTE on the yummiest in both categories!!! $15 – Advanced Tickets Available Here: http://goo.gl/rfQr5

ooohhhh I should win because I LOVE hot sauce and my partner (who has been working 7 days a week forever) loves ice cream!!! Would love to surprise him with a fun thing to do!

  2. Carrie September 25, 2012 at 11:40 #

My brother is coming to visit for the first time, and he would love to go to this! He can’t get enough of fiery foods — the hotter, the better — and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him meet his match in a hot sauce. I’ve also been telling him about the amazing food he’ll get to try here, especially the ice cream shops. This would be a PERFECT combination event to introduce my brother to how fantastic this city is. (Secretly hoping he’ll move here one day!)

Will it prevent the “second” burning? Only one way to find out.

  4. Carly H September 25, 2012 at 11:48 #

  5. Ashley Brewer September 25, 2012 at 12:28 #

OMG this is right up me and my girlfriends alley. I’m a HEATEATER and she is in love with Portland’s local Ice Cream scene. Would love to be a part of this

  11. Diana September 26, 2012 at 07:10 #

Why I want to go…well, I’ve become obsessed lately with local ice cream (e.g. Scoop) and I’m a capsaicin-addict as well. Mix these things and you got a stew baby, and a pretty good time. Not for the stomach, I imagine, but whatever.

  12. Cheryl September 27, 2012 at 14:07 #

Many of my friends associate me with ice cream because I love it so much, to the point that they text me whenever they are trying new flavors or combinations. I would love the chance to check this out!

  13. Nick September 27, 2012 at 15:07 #

My husband and I go out with friends pretty regularly around Portland but we have yet to go to the Goodfoot! We’d love to experience a new venue while enjoying delicious new flavors!!
My husband puts hot sauce on EVERYTHING so this would be a great night out for him ;) Move over aardvark sauce, there might be some new sauces coming home!

  16. Kimberly September 27, 2012 at 16:11 #

My daughter loves food, she watches shows, takes classes and we visit restaurants she finds to try out. This would be a great, fun experience for her

  17. Clayng September 27, 2012 at 16:28 #

It should be yummy fun :)

  18. Alyssa September 27, 2012 at 16:36 #

Super pumped to see this enthusiasm for Sunday!!! And remember, local hot sauces will also be repping, out of competition: Bushwacker, Secret Aardvark and Portland Pepper Company! And for ice cream companies you’ll see Salt & Straw, What’s the Scoop? and Scoop (truck!)

You should definitely give me tickets because my wife an I will photograph and report on this event on our new foodie and recipe blog. Plus we LOVE ice cream and hot sauce like the dickens!

  26. Jared September 28, 2012 at 11:20 #

I hope they are not together. We do not need another hipster joint putting together jalepeno ice cream. I like my hot sauces like I like my women, red hot and lonely.
    I love ice cream

  27. Jenny Rowan September 28, 2012 at 17:57 #

this event sounds awesome , my gf loves the spicy and am starting to like it more and more… and we are both ice cream lovers , getting ice cream at different pdx shops were the kind of dates we used to go on during college but now with life and all we stick to the grocery store gallons and home cooked spicy food. we would love to attend and enjoy the samplings.
