Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Natalie Merchant joins the Oregon Symphony for one performance only. Over the past 30 years, her distinctive voice, her gift for storytelling through music and her unique stage presence have earned her a place among America’s most respected artists. “Merchant has found her medium,” says The Boston Globe of this exhilarating symphonic program. “She has never sounded quite so right.”

In addition to previously recorded songs, she’ll be performing songs from her new album, Leave Your Sleep, a collection of music adapted from 19th and 20th century British and American poetry about childhood.
