Wordstock is so much more than a book fair. It’s a weeklong, book-fueled bender taking over the Rose City. The whole thing starts with a poetry slam competition at the Bagdad Theater, before transforming the Oregon Convention Center into the Northwest’s largest literary festival.

At the main event, there’s tons of stuff to do for readers of all ages. Get a taste of over 195 authors from all genres, get down and dirty in experimental writing workshops and make special connections with authors at interactive panel discussions. You can even bring the kids to Little Word, the massive children’s area, where they can hear a few stories and even read a book to an adoptable dog! While you’re at it, you’ll want to tune in to a very special Wordstock edition of Live Wire!, Portland’s most popular radio variety show.

But wait, there’s more!

This year, Wordstock is featuring the Red Chair District, a scintillating peep show featuring erotic authors reading missed connections, a sexy photobooth and female-friendly toy boutique She Bop.

Come see all this and more at the Northwest’s most exciting literary festival, Wordstock!
