The Guns N Rollers are taking on the Throttle Rockets of Seattle’s Rat City Rollergirls this Friday in an exhibition scrimmage. Come throw up your horns and cheer your GNR on to victory!
On Saturday, come witness the bouting debut of the next generation of RCR superstars as the newest members of Portland’s four home teams take on the Boneyard Brawlers of Salem’s Cherry City Derby Girls.
The Rosebuds are a full contact ranked junior league for the Rose City Rollers. All four home teams will be battling it out on the track at the Hangar at Oaks Park this Sunday. Come check out the next generation of Rose City Rollers’ derby stars as they play for home team ranking. This will be a double-header event! First bout is Rainbow Bites vs. Undead Avengers, then the Little Rosie Riveters take on the Death Scar Derby Dolls for the Championship title!
Parking will be free for these events! Please note, sitting alongside the track puts you within feet of the action and places you at higher risk of involvement in a skater collision. Arrive early enough to make seating arrangements you are comfortable with.

I have memories growing up of watching roller derby growing up – I’m going to age myself here – but Kansas City Bombers was a seminal movie for my youth (in more ways that I will list here). Lets just say that Raquel Welch played a pivotal role in my development into the man I am today. So why do I want to attend the roller derby? I have a young son of my own now… and well, you can fill in the rest… Bottom line – everyone should go!!!

My roommate and I are HUGE rose city roller fans! We even have a rose city derby hall of fame in our apartment. We started going to bouts last year and simply fell in love with the game and the inspiring players who truly play together as a team.
