Winwood was just a teenager when he rocketed into the international spotlight as the prodigious singer of the Spencer Davis Group (which also featured his brother Muff on bass). The blues and R&B-influenced rock of “Gimme Some Lovin” and “I’m a Man” stood among the leading hits at the peak of the British Invasion, Winwood’s singing drawing comparisons to that of his idol Ray Charles – despite his tender age.
Looking for a wider artistic palette, in 1967 he headed to the countryside with friends Jim Capaldi, Chris Wood and Dave Mason, forging the collective spirit into Traffic, producing some of the most inventive and durable works of the psychedelic-tinged late-”60s.

Oh wow! Have been a fan of Steve’s from the very beginning but have never had the pleasure of seeing him play live. Would have been sweet to see The Spencer Davis Group or Traffic or Blind Faith or any one of his many solo shows. With money being so tight I don’t see a way to buy tickets for this time around either so would be oh so appreciative of winning these free passes! Please pick me! Thanks!!
my girlfriend will give me big kisses if I win these
would love to be able to see steve as a simple delight left in this life..you folks rock
This guys has had a great career but I have never made it to one of his shows. He’s a talented singer that would be great to see live. Tickets please!! : )
My boyfriend will give me big kisses if I win these
One of the first albums I ever recall playing was the Blind Faith album. It was my dad’s original copy of the vinyl. Hundreds of shows and thousands and thousands of albums later and one of my most vivid mental images of music is that album cover and hearing the opening seconds of Had To Cry Today. It’s very much a part of who I am.
My husband would love these as a surprise gift
Gottalove Stevie Windwood! My wife will dig it!
Because I’m an old fart, and remember him from back in the day with Blind Faith and Traffic. The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys was my fave album in HIGH school. Been a fan so long I won’t tell you how long. It would give away my years but let’s just say, I have some grey hair.
My dog will give me big kisses if I win these
Now that would be a dream come true!
Because I’m too young to have seen him with Blind Faith or Traffic, and would love to go to this show!
I would love to see Steve Winwood at the Schnitz because his career spans practically 50 years and he’s still got his amazing high tenor voice! From Spencer Davis Group to Traffic to Blind Faith to his amazing solo work, he’s always delivered as a musician and artist. It would be an honor to win this prize! :)
Because I’m the first and only person here to call him “Stevie Winwood” which is how I think of him :.)
Steve has such a long and deep history in rock music. One of the greats that I have always wanted to see. It would make my girl sooo thrilled to see him perform live.
I met Stevie when he was sitting in with Levon Helm at The Lone Star Cafe in NYC. I talked Ted Nugent into joining them as well (I swear!). I had Stevie sign one side of a dollar bill, then Ted signed the other. A week later, I was so starving, I had to spend that dollar on a slice of pizza. I need him to sign another one.
I can think of no “Higher Love” than free tickets to this former Traffic man of Blind Faith. :-)
Low spark of high heel boys has given me two of the most important moments of my life. After hearing a street performing in NYC perform on a strat and pig nose amp, I went to nearby pawn shop and bought my fist guitar. Thirty years and seven guitars later, I still play hat song at least weekly. It was also the song I put on to propose to my wife. 24 years and thousands of plays later, it’s still our song. Thanks Steve
My mom is the biggest Steve Winwood fan ever (I remember driving around as a kid in our big old VW van while Mom played “Higher Love” over and over AND OVER, singing along every time) and the thought of surprising her with tickets to his show makes me tear up with happiness.
I would love to attend!! Please pick me! Steve Winwood at the Schnitzer will be amazing!
I would love to go to this, since it is within walking distance even bigger bonus!
ahhhhh!
He is so so Hot. I have always loved his music !
He is so Hot ! I have always loved his music !
Wow! What a night that will be!
Pick me so I can continue my streak – Have seen him in 3 consecutive Decades, but not the current one – hr just keeps getting better, like a good Pinot!
I loved Traffic in HS and before that, the Spencer Davis Group and Blind Faith. But in the mid 80′s I met my wife when Higher Love was a hit, and we played that LP a lot. I’d like to take her to see him because it would bring back some memories and the Schnitzer is a great venue.
I have loved the music he has made with every single one of his incarnations. It would be an honor to see him live. Thank you for the opportunity.
A few years ago, I used to go to a lot of concerts. About 2 years ago, I decided to become much more selective. I thought about Steve Winwood’s show but was not convinced that it was a ‘must -see’. I did have second thoughts as it was at the Schnitz which is a great venue. Did I make a wrong decision? There is a way to find out…..
This would my favorite night in November!!
A whole lot of years of quality music. Great opportunity to see up close. Thanks,
Best of wishes,
Randy in Oregon
My baby (girlfirend) will absolutely dissolve with ecstasy if she gets to go to this concert. Pleeeeeze.
My baby (girlfriend) will absolutely dissolve with ecstasy if we get to go to this concert. Pleeeeeeze.
Steve Winwood co-authored the soundtrack of my life. Along with the Beatles, Beach Boys and the Doors, Stevie connected me with the culture and the promise of an optimistic future full of possibilities.
Because my husband deserves a night out and he is a big fan of Steve Winwood.
I happened to catch a live performance of Steve Winwood on OPB a few years ago, and though I’ve been a fan of his work in Traffic and the Spencer Davis Group, I had no idea that he was such a blazingly good guitar player! He looked like a happy, comfortable country gentleman of a certain age, but he played some dazzling hot blues licks and sang with true cheer and joy. I’m going to this show one way or the other!
Not working right now and this would be a great way to spend a Wednesday evening. I have never heard Steve Winwood in concert.
We’d love to go see him too
Wow! Cool. Awesome. What i would say.
As an old Traffic fan, I’d love to see what Stevie pulls out of his hat!
From The Spencer Davis Group to Blind Faith to Traffic and all of his solo work, Steve has been a rock and roll icon. “Gimme Some Lovin’” and allow me to see this great concert!
“Gimme Some” Steve Winwood tickets, please!
He is still so handsome after all these years.
Mmmm Blues/R+B….
Would love to see this show. Would take my momma if i won.
Now here’s an artist who has shown us through his long, illustrious career that true ‘soul’ has more than one color. Wonderful man, wonderful music and the ‘Schnitz’, a wonderful venue.
sounds like an amazing show! would love to go!
Spencer Davis Group and Stevie Winwood’s Solo career was the theme to my teenage years. I get that uncommon feeling of rowdy and nostalgic when I hear “Give me some lovin’”, “Higher Love” or “High Life Again” or the remix of his song Valarie. Boy, I am getting excited just thinking of it. Seeing his performance at the Schnitz would change my life!
Would love to add a Steve Winwood ticket stub to my pile!
I have always been a big fan of Steve Winwood. It would be a night to remember. I have fond memories of going to concerts at the Scnitzer. Good times!
Things look so bad everywhere
In this whole world, what is fair?
We walk blind and we try to see
Falling behind in what could be
Bring me some Steve Winwood tickets
Bring them to me, because I don’t have rickets
Bring me those tickets I spoke of
So that I can sing along to “Higher Love”!
Low Spark of High Heeled Boys!!!!
ok, so the girl i think that i was the most in love with, way way back in college days had a song she said was ours. i agreed. it was “While You See A Chance” off of the Arc of A Diver album. no CD’s back then, just good old vinyl LP’s. I’d love to go this show with current girl and secretly relive some memories.
I would love to go this one!! Please…?
Mommy needs a night out!
Just hearing the names “Spencer Davis Group” and “Blind Faith” brings up a host of great memories from my wayward youth. I miss those days; seeing Steve Winwood would be a great way to relive that era – even if it’s just for one night.
Are you kidding me? And miss a chance to see this legend?? Yes for me!
oh YES!!!
I love good music and the Schnitzer is an awesome venue!
oh valerie!
Would love to add this show to my list
Love him, love him, love him!
wow
This would be nice to win a day before my birthday. Higher love, baby!
Please Gimme some lovin!
To see a Steve Winwood performance would be such an incredible experience. My boyfriend and I have followed his career for what seems like almost 50 years, but we have never been able to see him play live. That is also my love’s birthday week. I would love the chance to take him out and enjoy an unforgetable evening with one of our classic favorites. My heart would just melt into a puddle if I could treat him for his birthday. We would be very much grateful. Thankyou.
He’s great, been a fan for a long time.
I need a night away from the teenager before I loose my mind;
I like all of Steve’s music and would love to see him live!
Would love to go see him. Haven’t been to a concert in so long.
Wow this will be a great concert. I would really like to go.
I love Steve!
I wanna take my mom!
One the hardest working men in music it would be an honor to see Steve in concert.
Music moves!
This would be the highlight music of the fall for me.
I want these tickets!
Would LOVE to see Winwood and the Wood Brothers. Saw Steve Winwood a few years back opening for Tom Petty and saw the Wood Brothers at Pickathon this summer…both great live!! It would be so amazing to see both of them together in the same venue! This would be the best surprise for my boyfriend!!!!!
Would love to see Steve Winwood live. I have alway enjoyed his work and if Eric Clampton thinks he a great guitarist, thats enough for me.
I want to attend simply because the man is such a legend and it would thrill me to show him some love and appreciation! The venue is great, so intimate. The only thing that would make it better is a dance floor where I could shake some of the cobwebs loose!
LOVE Steve Winwood! Songs take me back in time….
this would be an amazing show to win tickets to. I have never been to the Arlene either so that would be twice the treat..
