ATLAS is Holocene’s longest-running dance party, inaugurated in November of 2003 and still going hard. Hosted six times a year by resident DJs Anjali, E3 and The Incredible Kid, ATLAS is a one-of-a-kind post-national bass party that unleashes dancefloor mayhem from across the globe.

Hosted by the crew that first introduced Portland club audiences to genres such as 2step/Dubstep, Balkan Beats, Bhangra, Dembow, Dubstep, Urban Desi, Funk Carioca, Kuduro, Merengue Urbano, Rai’n’B, Reggada, Reggaeton, 3Ball, Cumbia Nueva and Tropical, ATLAS continues to blaze trails in international bass music for one of the most diverse nights & crowds in town.

Because I’ve never attended a dance party by ATLAS before and I’ve been curious for a long time. This anniversary dance seems like a good introduction!!

I would love to go because Atlas is something different. It’s about all walks of life, from all continents, coming together just to dance your hiney off and have a great time.

I went to the New Years DJ Anjali party and had a blast….I’ve been trying to come back with my fiance on a weekend when she’s playing again but it never seems to work out for the first Saturday. But I’ll be in Portland this weekend and he will be here visiting as well so this would be a great way to relive the New Year! :)

I’d like to attend because life has thrown some roadblocks up these past few months and I’m so, so ready to dance it off and celebrate being alive. And this is my absolute favorite, favorite can’t-sit-still kind of music. Excited!

I could use some serious international style dance partying to celebrate Obama’s re-election ( at least four more years of the rest of the world trusting we aren’t all terrible over here)!!

  9. Christa November 8, 2012 at 14:10 #

To test my hypothesis that I can disappear.

Anjali makes the world a brighter place with her rad music mixes and shinning smile. I love going to her gigs. It has also been forever since I went to one too.
