We are so into Swatch we simply must go to the Swatch Butlers Ball, how fun to have a butler bring us our Swatch! Also, we’ll be the oldest people in the room and we can show them young pirates how to party like it’s 1965 in East Africa, where we were living — in that part of the world there are not such friendly Swatch Butlers.

I’m in it for two things….My vet at DoveLewis and the bring on the burlesque dancers! The best holiday gift a young man could ask for.

Any excuse to dress as a pirate will do! I will be comparing this to the Kwajalein Yacht Club’s Swashbuckler’s Ball which I have attended many times when I lived in the Marshall Islands.

  7. Harvard November 13, 2012 at 17:53 #

I always dress up as a pirate on November 17th. This will give me a better excuse than usual.

The capt’n says fer beasties n’ beauties, the crew be ondeck all hands at the ready! Our purses are too light for the likes of door pirates! Saven our coin for grog and wenches! Get us sea rats past the door n’ we won’t hav to shed blood to start the evening off right!

  9. Brooke November 14, 2012 at 17:56 #

Argh! I really want to go!

  12. Benjamin November 15, 2012 at 20:18 #

This event has everything I would need for a night of fun. It’s like being a sultan and throwing a big party for the commoners. Very cool indeed.

to the tune of Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum
*Yo ho ho, and a buffet yum
    Fifteen dancers there to impress
Yo ho ho and a buffet yum
The best of the band will be Tempest
Yo ho ho and a buffet yum
My date looks good she’s one i like
Yo ho ho and a buffet yum.”
A pirates ball for me, Yar

Dove Lewis- what can I say? I have a special place in my heart for your amazing hospital- I hope that your event is wildly successful. Way to go swashbucklers- yee mateys picked the best to give a portion of yer booty too! If I attend I’d be a novice pirate (almost wrote ‘virgin pirate’ but it didn’t seem right) and I don’t have the, er, overflowing chest of treasure… that many pirate wenches are famous for… but I do like the music you’ve lined up and a great spirit of fun! PS- I know two pirate jokes.
(sheesh that’s the longest comment I have written for one of these contests… maybe I should be fated to walk the plank)

  15. Risto B Rushford November 15, 2012 at 21:56 #

I want to attend this event because my beginning major in community college was High Seas Piracy.

  16. Neil November 15, 2012 at 22:07 #

Nautical burlesque sounds funner than running aground on Cape Disappointment in a hurricane.

  17. Shane November 15, 2012 at 23:04 #

What better than pirates and a burlesque show with drinks and food… Does this get any better, I think not… Let’s go

  18. TOBY November 16, 2012 at 09:29 #
