I would love to see an array of belly dancing styles and how this mixture comes together in an ecstatic evening of emergence.
I know this is going to be a great show! We were hoping to make it although as a musician, married to someone who just got laid off of her job, we werent sure if we could make it. And then my wife just spent a couple of days in the hospital with severa asthma. Sounds like a fictional sob story but it is the sad truth! anyway, would be cool to win the drawing, but for all of those who go, you will no doubt leave with a new perspective on things!
this event promises to take us on a journey of enchantment through beautiful and graceful dancing. it would be an absolute delight to be able to watch these gorgeous dancers combine eastern classical dance form with belly dance and be surrounded with positive magical energy.
There are SO so many reasons why It will be great for me to attend this. This is an event I have been planning on going to since the posts went up. I am very much a fan of these types of performances, and hope to take my mother to this (her birthday is the day after),and she was always trying to get me to go to belly dancing shows when I was younger, and now that it is something I am very much into, it will be an awesome gift and experience for she and I……
For the show’s sake it will be good that I attend as I am subscriber to transcendental philosophy, and with this share my glow of positivety and insight…….. everywhere I go!!,
and for the performers it will be so so awesome to add my shining bright in the audience to their performance, and they will be shining brighter in response to an even brighter, shinier audience, and it perpetuates, and this is what Transcendence is all about !! , , and because I have not bumped into Zoe Jakes since the Beats Antique show in St. Louis …(she and Dave Satoori came to our horsey acrobatics show , and even gave us a shout out at set break !!!) and, and, and….
Anywhoo, having so unfortunately dropped my wallet within about 90 minutes of having cashed my work check last monday, , I have no clue how I will afford to take my mother to this show that will be most gracious for she and I to attend….. and I already asked my boss to schedule me around this…….
Regardless, even if it is not I who is selected for this, thank you so SO MUCH for giving out free tickets as it promotes the spread of beautiful culture, good times, positivety…. tickets… . Bye.
and because I have not yet seen any of the other performers live other than NagaSita, and all of the clips I’ve seen of them onloine have been SOso awesome…

I’ve photographed events put on by many of these talented dancers. There are so many good reasons to attend this show:
-Soulfire features Karolina Lux, a fusion dancer known for exuding bright, sensual charisma in her dancing personae. Performing with three other dancers, their modern interpretations of belly dancing can only be found on one stage.
-Apsara is a bewitching collective, and NagaSita reigns as their dark, sultry queen. Their moves are ritualistically methodical, almost hypnotic.
-Rachel Brice is one of the most well-recognized belly dancers in the country. Every dancer on the bill encapsulates an aspect of Rachel’s charm and grace, but seeing her routine is an experience not worth missing.
Does it sound like I want to miss this? :)

I would love to attend this, as I am passionate about belly dance, but also about visual representations and expressions of the divine. I am, however, a poor college student, and have not been able to take any dance classes or go to performances for the past couple of years because of lack of funds, so free tickets would be the only way to see live dance for me. I live two blocks from the Alberta theatre and I have yet to see a show there. Sometimes I talk to the performers during their smoke breaks. Very cool people.

i would love to attend this show because i have only recently gotten the balls to take belly dancing classes after dreaming about it for 15 yrs, and absolutely love it!!…and studio datura(where some of these ladies teach) is amazing. i was planning on buying a ticket to the show but i lost my employment a week ago due to some very unkind circumstances, and thus have no funds. i also received some difficult health news yesterday and would love to counteract all this heavy stuff w some beauty and the type of healing that only dance can provide.

These are some of my favorite performers and I am proud to have shared a stage with several of them in the past. I know this show will be amazing.
I live in Coos Bay/North Bend, Oregon – four hours away from this Show! It is going to be quite a drive and costly when it comes to gas prices, now a days… But, eight hours round trip is SO worth it to see these beautiful women who embody the goddess in all her aspects. I see this not only as a thrilling feast for my eyes and ears but also as a pilgrimage for my soul. LOL – it has been getting cold and dreary – what a wonderful way to beat the hibernating tendencies that seem to come on with this change of season… I will be bringing my dear friend, Brandalyn Trammel. Her 40th birthday just happens to fall on November 18th – so this would be an incredible gift to her, as well… If I win these tickets – I could afford to get a room to stay for the night and not have to drive fours hours back home after watching the show… Here’s hoping!! I really really would love to take my wife to this dance as she is Peruvian and a dance instructor for children who want to learn traditional dances of South America.
We are both going to Asia and the Middle East next summer so that she can explore the dances of those areas. She has done a lot of belly dancing herself so this would be thrilling for her…..plus I would get lot’s of bonus points from her!
