The Motet is very excited to return to Portland and play for the first time at the magnificent Wonder Ballroom! In fact, their last show in P-town was so successful that they are going to make this an extra special occasion and play their Funk is Dead material for the second set of the evening. Yes, that’s right: Set One: Motet….Set Two: Funk is Dead! Also, opening the show will be Portland’s own Excellent Gentlemen.

Tickets are on sale now at Ticket Fly.

I was down with bronchitis last April when Motet was in town, and had to let my tickets go. I would be most grateful for another opportunity.

    Holy Crap-o-la.
Motet is DA BES….. didn’t even know that they were in town.. or that they did the Dead- I am no hippie but dang I do love the funkness.
If I win I will be the one with the REALLY biggest smile ever at the Wonder (my favorite spot for music) which would be super funktastic!

  11. Bob November 29, 2012 at 15:32 #

  12. jack November 29, 2012 at 15:45 #

Roommate is a huge Dead fan. He jams by himself as the Dead play accompaniment (read: it’s the other way around). It’d be great to go ham…. i mean jam.

#1. We have a babysitter, which on a Friday night is pretty unheard of in our household!

#2. Dancing the night away with my handsome man to some of my favorite tunes would make for a downright happening Friday night.

#3. I could use a dose of good tunes infiltrating my mind.

Fingers crossed:) Which had no luck in the powerball BTW

  22. J.Mani November 29, 2012 at 21:33 #

Motet is A Maze ZEENG! Original Set and a Dead set is almost too good. Hopefully they play some Talking Heads too! Must Be Here for this!

  23. Kali November 29, 2012 at 22:26 #

Man, I haven’t been to the Wonder in ages. Sure would be nice to shakedown with all the hippies that warm my heart whenever I get together with them in Portland; it’s nice to see my kind of folk in a city of hipsters. :)

  24. Amy November 29, 2012 at 23:07 #

    Please please please!

  25. Oakley November 29, 2012 at 23:40 #

I would love to go to this show to surprise a charming Australian who will be attending. This weekend is his last in the states, and we were hoping to see each other one last time before he left. What better way than to surprise him and dance the night away to The Motet!? Support Portland dreamers and help get me to that show, please! :-)

  26. Manda November 30, 2012 at 09:29 #

What!?! You are giving away tickets to this and I already bought mine!? Well, okay… So i wouldn’t miss this for the anything which is why I already have my tix but it’d be awesome to hook up my besties who are in town this weekend!

  27. Leigh November 30, 2012 at 09:30 #

May I please sell my already purchased tickets for my hard earned cash bacl? I’m broke as a joke but just had to see The Motet because they are the greatest!

  28. Andy November 30, 2012 at 10:25 #

    Holy Christmas, Charlie Brown!
Saw Motet throw this down at the Aladdin last time they were in town. It’s not to be missed. Unfortunately, with Christmas around the corner, I’m forced to miss this due to funding issues….well, unless you pick me as a winner of course!

  29. Hazel November 30, 2012 at 10:29 #

I would love to attend this show. Two of my friends are having birthdays there tonight, but I don’t have tickets and am not sure I can get to the venue before it’s sold out….didn’t get paid until today :(

    Here’s hoping…….
