Hosted by Luxury Jones. $10 before 10pm/$15 after.
Dorian (Onuinu) calls the music he makes Disco-Hop and it is easy to cite influences like: Yellow Magic Orchestra, Michael Jackson, the Brainfeeder Crew and Stones Throw Records. Onuinu was named one of Portland’s Best New Bands for 2012 by Willamette Week voters.
Portland producer and rapper Stewart Villain has production credits with Danny Brown, Guilty Simpson, Sean Price, Kurupt and a slew of other big name artists. His most recent work showcases his remix capabilities, with a project titled Lean Team, made with DJ Fatboy.
With recent shows alongside Mark Ronson, Quadron, Odd Future’s The Internet and Allen Stone, Reva Devito is ready to make 2013 hers. After a successful release with Roane Namuh titled ‘Cloudshine,’ Reva has been busy recording music that has already premiered on BBC Radio 1 and KISS FM.
After being the only hip hop group to make the WW Best New Band list in 2011, TxE have been busy as individuals and as a group working with Wajeed, Planet Asia, Bun B and releasing their ode to old school hip hop EP titled ‘Tetherball.’ You can expect a lot more from TxE in the future, as the group made up of Tope, Epp and G-Force have already finished a full length and have plans to record another EP at the start of the year.
Portland born and raised, DJ Fatboy has been busy spending most of his time outside of the city as the official dj for Kreayshawn, Cool Nutz and Illmaculate and operating as the tour dj for E-40. Fatboy is also the other half to Lean Team and he’s excited to see all of the ladies dressed up for NYE.
