The Portland Bridal Show for 2013 is proof positive that no matter that there may be in a challenging economy…the wedding must go on! From the most elegant gown to very practical edible table displays, brides-to-be will find it all at the Northwest’s largest wedding event and fashion show.
Now in its 34th year, the Portland Bridal Show’s exhibition of wedding fashion, photography, catering, honeymoon travel, and “everything wedding” will set the tone for the 2013 wedding season (May-September in Oregon) and will run January 12th and 13th at the Oregon Convention Center. The event is expected to draw over 9,500 visitors. Tickets will be $9 at the door, with advance-purchase coupons available at TicketsWest.com.
The most popular highlight of the event is the bridal fashion shows, where brides and their friends can get a first look at the latest trends
The bridal industry has traditionally weathered most economic downturns. Many of the event’s exhibitors will offer Show specials featuring added savings if the bride purchases within a short timeframe.
$9 admission, children 5 and under free, advanced discount tickets available at TicketsWest.com. A complete wedding/reception/honeymoon will be given away to a lucky bride for just signing-up. This might be the year for me to get hitched and I’ve never been to a show before so this would be a great chance for me to check things out!

I’m interested in going to this fun event because after seven years together and three beautiful children I have yet to marry the man that is the best dad to our kids that I know. We have planned and put off our wedding for six years do to money issues and me having cold feet..yes I said me the female of the relationship. I have attended bridal shows as a supportive bridesmaid for the past 4 years. Filling out forms, commenting on dresses, and standing by as a soundboard for wedding ideas and emotional banter has been my role for years. Recently engaged (12/12/12!) now it is MY TURN! A bridal show? Holy Cow I never even knew there was such a thing. BUT now that I do, I would like to take my niece who just got engaged. Do you dress up, or is this like the toy & collectable shows that I am usually found at? Will I go into shock? Will I be the oldest person there?
