Hailing from Brooklyn as Hip Hop’s most under rated group of the 90′s. Camp Lo is a rap group from the Bronx who melds hip-hop with jazz sensibilities and funk. After having a hit single, “Coolie High,” from The Great White Hype soundtrack in early 1996, they released their debut album, Uptown Saturday Night, in February 1997. The album was reissued two years later on Arista Records, and a second album (Let’s Do It Again) finally appeared in 2002. Five years later, Camp Loreturned with Black Hollywood (2007), their third album. It was produced entirely by Ski Beatz, who had worked with the duo on their previous albums as well.

I wanna go cause Camp Lo is one of the legendary hiphop groups from early hiphop that established that different sound and flavor. The kind of hiphop that isn’t following everyone else. The kind that catches the ear of others who may not listen to hiphop. This is it, WHAT, luchiniy pouring from the sky, let’s get rich, WHAT…..!!!!
My 44th belly button day is next week and I am a broke single momma… I would love to win tickets and enjoy an evening out!
I would love to attend because I love hip hop and finally will have a free night off to go out!
I’m a huge hip hop head and don’t get much time to see shows in Portland. This would be perfect. I’d be eternally grateful.
Honestly, I can’t even begin to explain how much I love Camp Lo and especially Uptown Saturday Night. It would be ridiculous to see these dudes live! “Cause we comin’ with hammers and drivers With the Buddhas and Rugers And shot Cruisers and Rovers Diamond crooks, takin’ it over.”
Listenin’ to some camp lo right now! I really want to win tickets to Nickodemus… But at this point, I am so broke, and in need of LIVE MUSICA!!! But really I do love me some camp lo
Dance! Too much booty in the pants.
Man man man! Camp Lo is where it’s at! I would love love love get these free tix.
Luchini fallin from the sky, this is it What!
I love hip hop, I love the refuge, and I’m super excited to see tigerfresh+exodub! Would love some tickets fer me and my lady, were getting a babysitter fer dis one!
I want to win because I want to be able to take my love out, for once, but as usual, I’m broke! Thank god he doesn’t love me for my money.
As it turns out, Camp Lo’s performance falls on the weekend of my 3-YEAR ANNIVERSARY with my boyfriend. Having bonded over rap and hip-hop in the early days of our relationship — Camp Lo, especially — we would, in a way, be TURNING BACK TIME by celebrating the little things that brought us together if granted tickets. Seeing Camp Lo live would not only be appropriate for the occasion, it would also be the very best anniversary to date!!! Both of us would be very HAPPY and GRATEFUL if we won tickets :)
I really want to go to this show. I loved Uptown Saturday Night when it came out 15 years ago. AND that was the year I met my husband!
I want to go. This would make an awesome 30th birthday present!
I need to take advantage of every opportunity I have to practice and speak jive.
Love me some old skool hip hop
WOOO! The Refuge throws awesome homie get downs& an dance parties!! Would love to be there with my girl gettin the dance floor goin and shakin some booties!! Hood Prisms is whats up also!! OLD SCHOOL HIP HIP and new skool Future Beats, tis gonna get way gangster. Whos drivin this space ship!@>>>??
I would like to attend this show because Uptown Saturday Night was one of those defining soundtrack-for-life albums that truly played its part during the years of my youth. Alongside similar acts such as Digable Planets, Artifacts and A Tribe Called Quest (all of which I have been fortunate enough to have seen perform live over the past ten years), Camp Lo is one of those rare, blue-moon performances I never thought I’d have the opportunity to see.
would love to see Camp Lo never had the chance in all of hiphop shows I’ve been to. Don’t recall them stopping in Portland before atleast not in 10 years or more. Perfect opportunity to check em out. LimeLighting!
All my favorite things in one event! Hip hop, bass, electronic music, and art!
