Tickets & Full Film Schedule at festivals.nwfilm.org/piff36/
Welcome to the Northwest Film Center’s 36th annual showcase of new world cinema. The Portland International Film Festival seeks to explore the diversity of not only the art of film, but of the world around us.
On a larger level, the Festival also connects community, bringing together culturally diverse audiences, a remarkable cross-section of cinematic voices, public and private arts funders, corporate sponsors, global film industry members, hundreds of individual volunteers, and thousands of audience members.
We hope that this year’s 135 films—92 features and 43 shorts—reward with fresh surprise and discovery. Enjoy. Steep.

I love film , I love PIFF, and I love PDX Pipeline! Thanks for the chance to win!
I’ve wanted to go to this film festival for sooooo long…I feel like Gollum in Lord of the Rings. My preeeecious tickets. Please give us our precious tickets…I’m willing to grovel. C’mon, someone needs to cut Gollum some slack.
Yes, Please! I saw your post of facebook. Pick me! Pick me!
I absolutely LOVE film. I am new to Portland and have never been to the PIFF. As someone who has done score on a couple of independent films, the Portland film industry is something I would love to get involved in. Of all the things you have posted for winning tickets, since I discovered PDX Pipeline, this is by FAR my favorite :)
The question is not “why” but “why not!”. Film is so entertaining, and the PDX Int’l Film Festival the best!!!! An opportunity to learn and explore, to be transported to other countries. And… this is a very generous package! Thanks for the chance…
“I want to go to there.”
This would be SO awesome. Win, win, win.
Would love to get to see some of these films. Hope I get lucky this time.
I would love to win some tickets.
That would be awesome!!
I’m defiantly a cinephile. I love foreign films from shorts to full features. Independent lens and POV on PBS are on my top 10 shows to view. I also enjoy foreign animated shorts as well.
I tend to stay away from star studded, big budget, lets blow something up commercial laden tripe. I hope to see Portlands film Festival continues to grow.
Love Love Love to watch the movies!
I love international and independent films! This would be a great way to discover new talents and have a good time :)
If we are truly global citizens, we need to expose ourselves to the world! And films can connect us across international boundaries like nothing else. A good one is a great dose of “illumination” during these gray Portland months. Gotta love something like the Portland International Film Festival!
I would love to see new films, new ideas that have come out! Film festival ftw!!!
I would love to win theses tickets for my fiancé!!! He loves international films and short films, they inspire him to make his own!! ;) please pick me!!! ;)
I love foreign films, in fact I’m the founder of the Portland latin American Film Festival. since i dedicate my time to organice this event, I didn’t make a lot of money. I am broke, and don’t have the money to attend PIFF.
Can’t wait for this years PDX film festival so super jazzed its gonna be brilliant!
I cancelled my Netflix account.
Picked up the guide last year and found several films to attend. Then realized that it had all already happened… Now unemployed and in need of free, enlightening distraction.
I have never been to PIFF but love movies and love traveling internationally. I would love to bring those two passions together!
Hi! I would love to win this prize because my best friend is a filmmaker in Boise, ID, and I’m trying to convince him to move here! If I win these passes I’ll invite him to come up to Portland, and then he can see how awesome our city is!! :)
I’d love to win and learn of the culture of international films
I’d love to win so that I can attend and take a guest with me. It is rare when I have money for a movie or film in my budget. It would be inspiring and motivating.
My best friend is in town and I would love to take him to the opening!
PIFF is one of my favorite parts of the year. It’s almost an entire month of film bliss. Please help a poor, struggling cinephile escape for a bit?
would love to attend the festival with my girlfriend. she would love it too.
I am an independent filmmaker, i.e. I have no money to spend on essential things like going to film festivals. I would dearly love to attend!
Wow. Going to opening night world be so amazing. If i win tickets i am bringing 2 more good friends to enjoy this night. Please pick me. Thanks for the opportunity!!
I could treat myself and my (artistic, creative, and future filmmaker himself) teenage son to outtings that are otherwise not afforded for our household. Thanks so much.
My son is a true cinephile and I love to treat him to some tickets!
I’ve always though “film festivals” sounded like something super fancy and glamorous. Like I should show up in that iconic white Marilyn Monroe dress. And maybe an antique fur wrap or something. However, I own neither. Maybe that’s why I’ve never been to one? I think it’s time to change that.
In my finest hoodie and jeans, know that I would sit lovingly through every single one of these films that I could. And drag everyone I could with me. Fancy dresses and fur wraps be damned. :)
I would really appreciate the chance and opportunity to go and be part of this amazing event. I have not been “out” to something like this forever and I would really love the culture and diversity this would bring into my life.
I would love the opportunity to participate in a film festival, especially in Portland. There is a lot of originality out here, and it would be an honor to witness it first hand.
Thank you.
I love PDX Pipeline. Even though I haven’t won any tickets, I like knowing what kind of events are going on. Thanks!
free tickets for moi, s’il vous plait
My husband and I were so fortunate to attend this festival several years ago. He has since lost his job and we haven’t been able to attend since. We have been married for 22 years and that weekend in Portland is still one of our favorite memories. Our favorite movie was a beautiful Norwegian film called Through a Glass, Darkly. We would cherish the chance to enjoy this weekend again.
Id love to attend!
Pipeline rules!
So many great films here I wasn’t able to see at AFI Fest. Would love to go.
I love the surprise of international films. They usually do not get the press of Hollywood films and are often way more thought-provoking!
My husband and I have recently moved to the Portland area and as our New Year’s resolution plan to do one exploratory thing per week to discover the wonderfulness of Portland and the surrounding area. This film festival would fit the bill perfectly. Please pick me!
I’d never been to the festival and winning tickets would be a great excuse to check it out. =)
frankly, my dear, i don’t give a damn
I will see all the films all the days all the times
As a member of Portland’s legion of unemployed, I never feel I can give myself the luxury of going to films. I’ve never been to the PIFF and would really love the chance to see some of the sure to be stellar work!
This looks awesome!!!
I hope they’re all in 3D!
Drama Queen in need of finding solace in celluloid…
I would love to win tickets to this! It has been several years since I have been to a film festival. I was just supposed to go to sundance but a new job ended up preventing me from doing so. I would love the opportunity to catch some films here in Portland!
I would love, love, love to go! I miss Portland and this would be a great excuse to go home.
I would love to win tix to this! It’s the first time an Iranian film will be shown at the festival, and as a first generation Iranian-American it will be an honor to witness this event. Thank you.
I will so happy if a could go!
I am from Argentina and there will be three movies of my country. I want to enjoy movies in my language!!
I have been living some time in Portland, and I miss my people, I think movies can take me at least some time to my site!
Also, there will be so many interesting movies to view
Thanks!!
This would make my year!! Pick me!!
Sounds like a blast! I’ve always wanted to go attend a film festival.

Film is one of my favorite art forms, and I especially like international film festivals like PIFF. Crossing my fingers
