“If you’re looking for something completely different on Valentines, this is it,” says event emcee and Vagabond Opera founder Eric Stern. “Valentine’s Day doesn’t need to be just about chocolate and flowers and ‘happily ever after.” Whether you are single or coupled-up, this is your chance to have a fun night listening to real-life love stories ‒ the good, the bad and the naughty.”

Actor, storyteller and performer Enrique E. Andrade, well known for being the Spanish voice of the MAX, will join Portland Story Theater for this exclusive Valentine’s Day show, Kiss & Tell, at the Alberta Rose Theatre.

“Anything that’s got stories about crushes on sexy-voiced dispatchers, erotic encounters at the drive-in, and the escapades of a gay man helping two lovely lesbians with their fertility rites … well, that’s going to be kind of hard to beat,” says storyteller and puppeteer Penny Walter, who recently returned from a performance tour in South America. She will be performing alongside Portland Story Theater founders Lawrence Howard and Lynne Duddy.

Founded by a boy from Brooklyn and a girl from the City of Roses, Portland Story Theater is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that brings the urban community together to connect in an essential, sustainable way, telling tales that stimulate the mind and rouse the heart.
