Fans of The Mystery Box Show know what kind of personal, hot, and sexy tales get shared every time this series takes the stage. Get ready to unzip your story pants because The Mystery Box Show returns to the Brody Theater on Thursday, February 21st at 7:30pm. Five new storytellers will share their true tales of sex and sexuality, revealing hilarious and intimate details before an eager audience. Admission is $10 in advance (through Brown Paper Tickets), $12 at the door.

The Mystery Box Show offers a safe space for sex-positive stories, from the vanilla to the uber-kinky and everything in between. Discussion of taboo topics are important in breaking down social stereotypes, stigmas, and fears and hearing about other peoples’ struggles and triumphs is a great way to connect and learn from each other. Audiences have reacted positively and clamored for more stories, often approaching storytellers after the show to offer their appreciation for being so bold.

The Mystery Box Show is a live storytelling series with one simple focus: Real people confessing their true stories of sex and sexuality, creating a unique and intimate bond between storyteller and audience. Storytellers share tales of awkward first times, sexy one-night stands, kinky explorations, and dark fantasies come true. With a primary focus on entertainment, it’s often surprising how touching and heartfelt these stories can be while other stories may inspire listeners to chase after recently-awakened desires.

My fiancé leads workshops with high school girls in which they discuss messages in the media directed towards women. This event is right up her alley (and mine as well) – it’s an issue she is most passionate about.

My partner and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary that day. This would be a fun and unique way to start out our evening to ensure it’s memorable!

As I prepare for a valentines evening sans partner, I’m thinking some saucy stories to look forward to would be right up my alley. Live vicariously until you have your own story to share, right?

  17. Stephanie February 14, 2013 at 23:42 #

This is exactly the sort of event my partner and I both sincerely love: a little bit of theater, made personal, to break down conversational taboos. We’d enjoy the Hell out of it. And… it happens to be on my birthday. That would make a delightful present. :)

  18. Anne P February 15, 2013 at 06:49 #

I want to take my bestie, sexy talk (or even unsexy talk) makes us tick. And giggle.

My girlfriend would love to take me as a belated Valentine’s Day gift. And I would love to go with her! We are always looking for ways to push our boundaries and help us to explore new pathways of eroticism, and this sounds like just the ticket! Real people with real stories to help inspire us to create our own stories.

  23. Susannah February 17, 2013 at 15:37 #

My bf and I stumbled across the last Mystery Box Show completely by accident. What a wonderfully unexpected surprise it was! Our only regret was that we only found out about the show after it was half over. I’d love the chance to attend again. Hearing other people tell their stories has encouraged us to be ever bolder as well. Yay sex positivity! Yay storytelling!:

  24. Torrie February 18, 2013 at 17:17 #

  26. Kelli February 19, 2013 at 13:35 #

This could be the perfect flavor for my vanilla story!!
