The Dead Winter Carpenters (North Lake Tahoe, CA.) are a talented, young, & energetic band that is experiencing a meteoric rise. With their infectious sound & high energy, this super group has been burning up stages all over the country. This band represents everything the American west stands for. With an unbridled spirit, and an authentic approach to the art of songwriting, the five-piece roots-rock band captures the freedom of the road with the kind of energy that is made of legends. Joining the festivities is consummate musician and songwriter,
Scott Law embodies the ideal of the steel-string guitar master. This Portland, Oregon-based string-bender is widely known by audiences and fellow musicians alike for his original tunes, articulate phrasing, silvery tone and knack for raising the energy level and musicality of any collaboration. Besides his work as a bandleader, career highlights include being chosen by bassist Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead to play Jerry Garcia’s “Wolf” guitar at a Red Rocks Amphitheater benefit event, his longtime stage and songwriting partnerships with The String Cheese Incident and his association with legendary fiddler, Darol Anger.

PLEASE CHOOSE ME TO WIN THIS. BECAUSE I LOVE SCOTT LAW AND I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO SEE THE DEAD WINTER CARPENTERS. AND BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER WON A PDX PIPELINE CONTEST BEFORE.. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO FOR PORTLAND LIVE MUSIC!
The Goodfoot has got to be my alltime favorite music venue. I would LOVE to take the BF out to watch his beloved Dead Winter Carpenters this Saturday! Gosh, that would soooo be the highlight of the month. I want to dance and look at art!!
To see this band live would just make my week! Thanks for the chance pdx peeps.
Yes PLEAAASSSSEEE
We have a babysitter and are looking forward to stepping out to hear some awesome live music! Dreaming of shaking it and rocking out with the Dead Winter Carpenters.
I am trying to plan a first date this weekend. This would be a great addition.
because it would rule
I would be Captain Supreme Boogie.
Can you believe the Goodfoot is selling advanced tickets, for once!?! That’s because this show is going to be so awesome they know it’ll fill up. The only problem is that I don’t get paid until Friday and have always banked on the fact that you can just show up at the door here.
I’ve seen Dead Winter on every one of their NW visits, including their debut out at Horning’s Hideout. It would totally suck if I had to stand outside because I don’t have $20 (plus fees) today. But that’s the plan for now!
We have sitters – pick us!
Please choose me because I don’t type in all caps. I very much enjoy Scott Law and his music and though I’ve seen him play dozens of times, would love to see him play with Dead Winter. I’ve seen Dead Winter numerous times in various venues around the state and know that they’re going to be amazing at the Goodfoot with the new laser lights. I’ve won tickets before, but hopefully that won’t stop me from winning more.
I also feel that Melissa should just buy her tickets since it’s her favorite venue ever and her boyfriend seem to totally love Dead Winter. It’d be a shame to not just buy tickets and go. Going to sell out, you should get them early.
You know, sometimes it is hard to pay for entertainment even though you really enjoy the venues and the bands playing there. Most people on this page were seeking some help for free tickets, or just maybe looking for a perk. You don’t have to suck the joy out the potential of winning a contest.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go steam my dancing dress for tomorrow, because I just won the tickets. If you hurry, you might still be able to buy some.
Good for you on winning, didn’t want you to miss it. See you there. No need to hurry, we’ll get in. Glad you enjoy the Goodfoot so much. If you haven’t seen their new lights, you’ll be in for a treat.
I would love to go, and I live right around the corner from the goodfoot. Be a good neighbor!
I would love to attend the Goodfoot 12 Year Anniversary Party! I’ve been going to the Goodfoot for 12 years, and it’s still my favorite business in Portland! I haven’t heard the Dead Winter Carpenters before, I will check them out on YouTube.
The Goodfoot has held many memories for me. I would really dig going to their anniversary party .
The Goodfoot has brought much love and magic into my life. One if the great loves of my life recommends this show and where he suggests good music I follow. Thanks for bringing such great music and energy to Portland and me. D
Pretty please, with genuine lyrics from the soul and strings on top!
I really want to celebrate Goodfoot’s 12 year anniversary!!! Scott Law is one of Portland’s greatest and Dead Winter Carpenter’s is super fun!! Goodfoot brings some of the best music in town.
Love Scott Law. Seen him many times at String Summit and with Brokedown in Bakersfield. Would love to add “with the Dead Winter Carpenters” to that list!!
Pick me! The DWC are amazing!!! I have been a huge fan since the very beginning and would love a free pair of tix.
