Intown Church and Antler Gallery present the eighth annual Works: An Art Happening, an event celebrating the diverse art, music, and culture of Portland. Works showcases Portland’s musical talent and hosts a curated gallery of local visual artists in the gothic atmosphere of The Old Church, one of downtown Portland’s landmark buildings.
Musical guests include Lost Lander performing their cinematic and gorgeous pop, the haunting folk melodies of Alialujah Choir, and the avant garde aural experimentations of Like A Villain. Local writer and raconteur Robert Bruce will entertain and provocate with his spoken word performance.
Visual artists and craftspeople exhibiting and selling their painting, sculpture and fine crafts include:
Emily Bates
Tripper Dungan
Tiny Meat
Beth Myrick
Magnetic North artists
Pony Club Gallery artists
Let’s go! screen prints
The musicians, artists and performers at Works attract hundreds of attendees each year. Attendees enjoy great beer and wine paired with locally sourced food prepared by local chef Berkley Braden. A percent of the proceeds will benefit p:ear , an organization mentoring homeless youth through education, art and recreation.

If I win tickets to this. I promise if people are talking
during the performances I will act like I am video
taping and back up into them and force them to
either shut up or go away.. I will probably hold
a video camera and pretend like I don’t see them.
Food+Music+Art=Guaranteed Fun
Hi, I Love Music, Art & People. It would be great to win tickets to this
event! Love, Light, & Laughter.
This sounds like a really fun event and I love this church. So beautiful!
I’ve never been to this event before. I would love to experience the diversity of Portland art! Also Lost Lander is one of my favorite local bands.
I give full consent to allow you to use photos of me having fun at this event.
Everything about this event was made for me…from the Haberman poster to the incredible musical lineup. I would’ve never guessed that I’d be so excited to go to church on a Friday night.
This just sounds delightful. I love the Old Church.
It is time to hear the spoken word from on high.
What a brilliant combination! Music, wine, art…yes please.
“It’s my happening and it’s freaking me out!” Well, not really. It your happening. I hope it will still freak me out a la Beyond the Valley of the Dolls style.
Would love to come out and help support p:ear, one of my fav organizations!
This sounds like all my favorite things I might have to check this out even if I dont get some tickets.
Works is a great event and I would love to go and support local artists.
Would be an awesome outing to experience!
I need to go to church. sinner, I be
I like beer and art.
this sounds like one of the first events i attended as a portland resident. i learned about it from friends who read about it on pdxpipeline. there was great music and art with free food and beer. i loved it then and want to go again.
great location, great event, sounds like a perfect friday night!
I wanna go!!
It is the same old same old in church. Open with prayer, worship, more prayer, Give over some money, Announcements. Sermon. Communion. Closing Prayer. Closing songs. Go back to daily life. Next Sunday. Predictable. Nothing wrong with that per se. Just going in circles. Routine, for me, is a killer.
Sounds like a really interesting evening
