I LOVE silent discos! After my first experience at Horning’s Hideout last year, I bought a keyboard and headphones just so I could dance around like a fool in my own living room…

And who doesn’t like throwing away their money at the craps tables, especially when it benefits sick babies and their families!? Even if I don’t get to go for free, I’m glad this important event was created. Thanks City Lights PDX!

  13. Kat February 21, 2013 at 18:02 #

    This would be cool!

  14. Windy February 21, 2013 at 20:24 #

  15. Addie February 21, 2013 at 21:49 #

Ronald McDonald House is such an amazing charity. They do so much for families and children in our community. The Ronald McDonald House at OHSU is closing in June due to lack of funding and the cost of upkeep on their house. It would be wonderful to come out for a night and show support. What a wonderful & fun event!

As a preschool teacher, it is vital to my sanity that I seize every opportunity to drink heavily and dance in public with a furry bunny hat on. Also, I’m really good at sharing (the dance floor).

  24. Vanessa D February 23, 2013 at 15:03 #

I love when there is no talking at the disco. Silence makes the whole experience better. ;)

  25. Tyler February 23, 2013 at 18:13 #

My partner would love to go to this. He would be so impressed with me, taking him to a Disco. And Monte Carlo inspired gambling for charity! Rockin’ awesome! He would be so surprised that I stepped up our date night from being couch boring to dancefloor fantastic. This would be so unexpected of me.

  39. Amy February 28, 2013 at 16:14 #

Silent disco is an excellent way to raise funds for RMHC and Cure JM–if I had the cash to pay for tickets, I totally would–it’s such a good cause, and I’m sorry to hear RMHC closing at OHSU.

Serendipitously, ALL our kids will be at a sleepover tomorrow night! We haven’t had a night out together in forever, and we’ve been some broke-ass grad students. There’s no way we’d have money for drinks AND gambling!

This looks like a rad party. I can’t believe the first four drinks are included.
I would like four drinks, pleeeeease! I’ll be charging my MP3 player and thinking of you.

  40. steadyans February 28, 2013 at 18:34 #

Answer honestly:do you believe that the square root of 9 was 3, a hundred billion years ago, far before humans were around to understand math? 2 +2 = 4 back in the day, before us?

If so, you believe in a plane of reality beyond us, sort of a Platonic ideal. A numeric ‘heaven’ if you will.

    Word.

  41. Logan February 28, 2013 at 19:29 #

I LOVE silent discos, have created some of my own for house parties, and have recently applied with silent storm as a dancer. I would love the opportunity to show them what I can do in person.

  42. Jordan February 28, 2013 at 19:37 #

I have never been to one but have always been intrigued by the idea of a silent disco. I would love the chance to check this one out. I’m curious if I would be able to take my headphones off and still stay in groove with everyone else?
