One word of warning before we go any further. When dropping in on a Sneakin’ Out concert, it’s best to be prepared for anything. Sneakin’ Out might start out playing a signature version of a classic Rolling Stone’s tune, but just wait and Beethoven or Pink Floyd will pop up.
Formed in Portland, Oregon, the trio, David Gerow, master of the mandolin, Don Henson the percussion wizard and Mike “Cheddar” Schmitt on bass, have been concocting a musical elixir that is as intoxicating as it is surprising. Sneakin’ Out opened for kd lang in 2003 with Thomas Lauderdale of Pink Martini fame. All three are professional musicians who have played the west coast for decades.
Their last CD, “Nothing Sacred” delivers with an air-pumping fist and a tongue planted firmly in cheek. It is a twelve-track sonic strut down the corridor of classic rock where no other instruments dared to tread. The flames fly from Gerow’s mandolin as his fingers blur during the solo of “Highway Star.” Henson’s djembe filling the sky like a helicopter in “Another Brick In The Wall Part II.” Schmitt’s bass speaking volumes in “We Will Rock You.” A Corona typewriter drives the chorus of “Drive My Car.”

I’ve heard great things about the Bob White….and Sneakin’ Out is a local favorite. I sure would like to go to this one.
Hi Don, Hi Mike, Hi Dave,
I’ll probably see you guys there anyhow.
I would like the tickets cuz I spent all my money a few years back to see them at Carnegie Hall when they toured with Pink Martini! That night I spoke to Matthew Modine and he said Sneakin’ Out was “Fantastic”! I couldnt agree more.
Oh yeah, this would be one fun time and would love to win these passes, please.
Sounds cool. C’mon lucky spirits, draw me some tickets. That’d be awesome.
please please please
I had to do Math in order to post. No one said anything about math.
It is a very nice thing that these tickets are being offered.
I feel that I would benefit most from recieving these tickets. It would give me a chance to get around that Sneakin’ Out has banned me from buying tickets to their shows. However, the restraining order says nothing about winning tickets.
Oh, and about the name dropping Carnegie Hall attendee above, I have it on good authority that he has more money than he knows what to do with.
I live very near the Bob White, and I recently heard Sneakin’ Out for the first time. I was only able to catch a couple songs though – and I loved them – so this would be a great time to get inside and see the rebirth of a neighborhood icon. Pick me!
Sounds like fun.
Not only does this sound interesting, but I’ve always wanted to check out the Bob White theater… I remember passing by it a number of times as a kid when it was a “less than reputable” movie house. :)
Please pick me, i would love to see this with my partner.
I would love to win these tickets! It will be a great way to celebrate a birthday! & I have heard so many great things about the theater & “Sneakin Out”.
Thanks for your time!
I have never been to the Bob White, but have heard good things about it, and love Sneakin’ Out. This would be such a blast! Pick me!
burb
I’ve been a fan of the boys forever and haven’t had the opportunity to see anything at the Bob White yet, even though I am a FoPo resident. Would love tickets!
I have seen and enjoyed Sneakin’ out – the first time at my son’s wedding reception. I don’t think the Carnegie Hall attendee has “more money thn he knows what to do with” and i never heard of the restraining order. I think they are making up stories to try to win these tickets. I really think Mom should get them.
Yes Mom Should get them!
I happen to know that Sneakin’ Out are all King Crimson fans. So maybe we will hear 21st Century Schizoid Man at the Bob White Theater. I would sure like to get in for free, that would be awesome!
Hello and Happy Monday!!!
I would LOVE to win a pair of tickets!!! My significant other is a music man. He plays everything from acoustic guitar to the Mandolin. He is always looking for new inspiration and leading talent to spark ideas. These tickets would 1: help us get out of the house- which we don’t get to do often and 2: Make a great gift for a couple of music lovers!!!
Please send them my way!!!
Thank you for your time!
Hi I’m Tixie Graveyard and I’m here for the free cock yank.
Haven’t been to the Bob White, despite it being just a few blocks away from my house. I’d love to go, please enter my name!
Never been to BW, my buddy’s never seen SO. But I have and that’s why I need to see ‘em again!
I have never seen Bob White in concert. I would love to attend.
Incredible, mind-blowing talent from down to earth local musicians. Electric mandolin and the typewriter? Goes together like peas and carrots if you ask me!
Sounds awesome.
Mandolin AND djembe? What’s not to love?!
We would so appreciate these passes. Thank you!
love that old time rock and roll
